It's taken what feels like an eternity, but we've finally got our first look at Star Wars: Battlefront. The trailer – which is bookmarked by PlayStation branding, presumably confirming that Sony has secured a marketing partnership with the title – starts out in Endor, and shows Pods outracing Stormtroopers through a lush jungle environment.
The clip then goes on to show various other maps and environments from the release, such as Hoth and Tatooine. We get a look at Boba Fett operating a jet-pack, as well as the insides of an X-Wing cockpit. The most exciting part comes at the end, however, as the Millennium Falcon soars into the screen, right before the trailer concludes.

Wow. Just wow. I can't wait to play! This trailer brings tears of Star Wars joy to my eyes. I can't believe how much this trailer looks, sounds, and feels like true Star Wars! November 17th hurry up!
Well, it's nice to know the engine allows for some nice cinematics. Would've loved to see gameplay, though.
Also, why would they use an AT-AT in a thick forest? The thing can't even menuever. That's what the smaller walkers were for. I'm not even a big Star Wars geek and I know this. :/
Why oh why did they not show the 5 minute demo of actual gameplay.
Am I the only one that thinks Boba Fett is overrated?
Wow....looks amazing.... A gameplay video is probably on the way...with this game and the film it looks like we are back in the Lucasverse
@Melucine over rated? Hell no! One of the most coolest and overlooked characters in star wars! But I am a massive fett fan so.....
@Melucine no your not, he didn't do much in the films anyway he took han to jabba then fell in a pit
he looked cool though
@sham8nix You could say that you have a 'Boba fettish'...
@ApostateMage 7/10.
@get2sammyb I'll take a 7. Seven is the new ten.
Wow...nailed it...November can't come soon enough...obviously a staged trailer(in engine footage as it says in the vid) good thing is the final version won't be far away from how the trailer looks
@teknium_ haha don't count on it. I no longer trust trailers since watch dogs con
@rykkchii given dice track record I think it's safe to say it won't be far off...battlefield 4 is still a good looking game and that wasn't too far away in quality compared to the trailers
Um, wow! Hope it lives up to the hype. Going to pre-order...
Game Engine =/= Game performance
Can't wait to see it running on the PS4 & not some high spec PC like they always show at 1st. Not that really into online multi-player games but LOVE Star Wars so might get it + HAPPY SONY(for PS4) will be promoting it to
@ApostateMage def a seven!
I know right! A £300 console running 60fps 1080p on 40" screen that plays like block buster games and films Whilst lazing about on a sofa! So glad I gave up my pc gaming 2 years ago ^_^ saved frikkin hundreds of pounds and no more wasting with silly drivers and hardware upgrades. saving up for PS5 in 4 years already
Meh. Looks pretty but showed absolutely nothing of the game itself. Left me feeling like I was on Hoth.
@Jazzer94 Is there a video of that anywhere? That's what I wanna see, not the staged crap which people somehow seem to think creates hype when it's just a way of saying 'we don't think you'll like the game, here's some flashy flashy to make you empty your wallets before realising you've been conned, again, suckers!'
@melucine It's pretty funny when you think about it. Everyone says he's a bad ass, but do bad asses get killed by Han Solo completely by accident?
Chewie screams something, Han Solo says "Oh Boba...where Chewie?" and he accidentally smacks the back of Fett's thruster pack. Down goes Boba into a sarlacc pit. Most overrated "bad ass" ever, taken out by a stick and his own shoddy equipment
