Sony's done decently enough in the PlayStation 4 firmware update department – Suspend/Resume is a Godsend – but it does seem to take its time between patches. This makes it extra frustrating when your most demanded feature doesn't make the shortlist, as you know that it's going to be a while before the functionality makes the grade. There is a way to make your voice heard, however.
Potentially fed up with a constant barrage of requests, Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida tweeted earlier today that Toshimasa Aoki works on PS4 features, and is open to requests. "You can send Toshi your feedback and requests," the affable executive said. "That will help us." Watch out Aoki-san – there's an influx of angry followers heading your way.
To be fair, he's already been busy on the social networking site. One member pointed out that he'd like to see uncompressed screenshots make the cut in the next major update, to which he responded: "Thanks for the feedback, will look into this." We made a substantial list of features that we'd like earlier in the year, most of which haven't been implemented yet.
C'mon Sony – sort it out.

Already tweeted at him. We need to have true external hard drive support. We need to be able to save whole games on an external hard drive and be able to play whole games off it. If not that, we should be able to save hold games on a external hard drive and be able to download them back on our PS4.
Just the thought of redownloading all my games via Wi-Fi makes me want to yell.
Support my idea: http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-General/True-External-Support/m-p/45055352
@RawWilson1 You can sorta do the latter, but only for backups.
Were is the link?
@noodleking1987 For his twitter? https://twitter.com/toshimasa_aoki/status/586138686380580865
CD Support is all I really care about getting. But, it's not that big a deal, if we can't get it. I would also like to have folders, and like You guys said, be able to gift something to a PSN friend.
I wish my PS4 would stop scolding me for shutting it off improperly, I only reset it or power down when it locks up in games ex tomb raider was particularly buggy.
I wonder how long it took for someone to demand "be able to change our PSN ID's" the artists formerly known as Colin & Gregg from IGN talk about it all the time.
@Matt_Berial thanks
Update it to same ability to the ps3
Wishlist support! The one on the website doesn't work. Needs to be either on the profile or in the store. Profile would enable gifting...
Folders, dlna, external HDD support, friend notifications, more colours for the flow theme, .....
@noodleking1987 You're welcome.
I really like the idea of having folders. That's all I ask for
A lot of people keep ask for friend notifications but unless they do it the same way as the XB1 I can see it getting annoying. We already get a notification every time someone joins a party, add to that friends popping online every minute or two and I would have no choice other than disabling the feature.
On the XB1 you can favourite the friends you game with the most and you will be informed when they pop online. Thats alot better than getting notifications for every single friend every time he/she pops online or joins a party.
Can we play cds please?
Larger HD support, drive cover to support 5 1/4" 4-6Tb drives. Game bar and trophy manager list them the way I want to list them. Personal Playstation Talking AI like A.S.T.R.A. add on in Elite Dangerous.
@RawWilson1
I agree with this completely. I would like to be able to plug in an external harddrive. The internal ones that fit in the PS4 only go up to 2TB right now.
NOT ENOUGH.
If we get external HDD support give me an adapter for the proprietary slot for the ps camera in the back to change it to usb so that I can hide the harddrive behind the ps4 instead of having to use up one of the front slots...that's just tacky
@get2sammyb Yea, that helped me out.. until i realized that the main website doesn't update the Firmware download the same day they put it out on the PS4. So i was out of a PS4 for a few days until they updated it. But it did help me out do to the fact i got my new 2TB HDD in my PS4 finally.
But i agree with @RawWilson1 they should have that ability too. Nintendo has that function along with Xbox One from what i have heard.
i just want to be able to save pictures on the system and use them for themes/backgrounds AND have the ability to adjust the brightness on them like with the ps3. OH NEW IDEA! imagine you can use any picture you want and having a kind of picture app that will add an animated visual effect. say you have a cool underwater pic of angler fish and vampire squid or something equally cool, choose your pic as your wallpaper then press options and go to the pic fx list and choose waves which would add an animated wavyness to your picture! you get the idea right? there could be a lightning one that flashes periodically, or one that adds pouring rain overtop of your pic. oh man that would be so cool!!! whos with me on this? im not crazy right?
Is this like the Smash Ballot? Only this one has a higher chance of something good coming from it, I guess... Or maybe not.
I'd love to change my psn name, organize folders, share play fixed (mine worked flawless with 2.0 then hasn't worked since 2.01 despite 75mb down 10th up hardwired), download speeds need to be addressed, mine cycle between 500kb to 1-2mb randomly, a ton of saves from the cloud I've noticed are corrupted, dlna support would be nice, mp3 storage as well, I'd say appear offline but it's one of the things I love about psn is how it's not xlive, but mostly psn Id change. They do that and fix the Internet speeds which I know for a fact is not my network or ps4, and I will be happy.
Would like to be able to put things in folders like you can on PS3...would also like to be able to store pictures from a USB stick onto the system like PS3. The only other thing that I could think of is get rid of this having to be logged into the internet to play downloaded games (to get the license verification). My internet gets slow from living in the boonies, and most of the time, they won't unlock, plus it gets me worried about when the system's servers finally go offline (in about 10 years), on if I have a bunch of downloads that I can do nothing with.
All I want is folders. I'll try my luck but as an already much requested feature I'm kinda getting the feeling they don't want to implement it for some reason.
Another vote for external drives. I have a 4TB drive on the X1 and it's heaven to know I don't have to even consider storage space. All my multiplats are going X1 now for this reason. Space. Ease. External support would drive me back to the PS4.
