We suspect that the majority of you learned at an early age that you can't always get everything that you want in life β but we hope that you didn't smash up your house with a baseball bat when the realisation set in. That's exactly what one Canadian kid got up to over the weekend, after his parents confiscated his PlayStation 4.
According to a report on CBC, police were called to a house in Brantford, Ontario when a 13-year-old boy turned violent following an altercation with his parents involving his games console. When officers arrived, they found the child locked in a garage, attempting to escape by smashing down the doors. He'd already caused significant damage to the family home.
"It was a dangerous situation," said Constable Natalie Laing, a media officer with Brantford police. "He was out of control." The publication claims that the PS4 was taken off the child as punishment for a spat that he had with his parents and sibling. He's now charged with mischief under $5,000 and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Let's hope that he's learned his lesson at last, eh?

Canadian? Impossible, there must be a mistake in the news. Canadians are all nice!
πππππππππ dam he needs to be punished properly.
Where I'm from dad would've just got a switch and tore that kid's backside up. Then again I wouldnt have done something so ridiculous. I think that's what you call a spoiled brat
I'd love to have been a fly on the wall.
I shoulda tried that when my mum took my PS2 off me the week I got the MGS2 demo. It's been 15 years and the relationship is starting to heal.
@iDangerMouse_ No video, sadly.
Parents get what they deserve for raising a brat.
Whaaat? parents calling police on their underage son? I would just take the belt and make sure the temporary ban on PS4 is his last issue for the next month...
@mateq
You know whats funny? The parents were afraid of the kid. I would have dropped kicked him so hard. I remember doing that to my cousin, he called his mom a B*@$h, i punched him so hard that he got knocked out and lost two teeth. I told his dad about the incident, his dad kicked the living crap out of him.
Those parents are imbeciles. They need to read more books, at least.
@Kayoss The kid got KO'ed and lost two teeth, and THEN his dad went on to kick the living crap out of him? Therapy much???
I would NUKE the World if anyone took my PS4 away (ONLY JOKING if the FBI is reading this)
A valuable lesson to be learned here.
Don't mess with a teenager and his games.
Ya, I probably just woulda dropped him off at the orphanage after this....
WOW!
If I got in trouble as a kid I got a spanking with "Mr. Shoe" or a Stainless-steel spatula. And let me tell you... I learned a lesson, and I grew up to be a well behaved person. The worst thing I've done since turning 18 was curse...
Kids these day NEED the punishment of the Ol' Days. But no... there's laws to prevent that...
Mocking the way we talk huh? So much for professional journalism.....
...Is what I'd say if I was being offended. But I do find it unnecessary.
Now on to to the article, another case of a spoiled kid, parents kinda deserve it for raising their child like that, but the kid also needs to go to anger management, I won't endorse corporal punishment here, although I found it effective (to an extent).
To the people endorsing hitting their kids, I was never hit by my family, a stern word and obviously upset family members causing guilt trips was plenty to make myself and my siblings behave. We would never dare misbehave. However, in this case, that kid NEEDS a good beatdown. Maybe smash his precious PS4 (trust me, I HATE seeing electronics get smashed but I'd make an exception), let him see how it feels to have something that costs a lot and that he loves get smashed. Make him pay for a new one out of his own pocket money, just like mummy and daddy have to do to fix their home now, too.
@kamifox1 I wholeheartedly agree with you. Even I was never like this when I was 13, and I had a PS2 back in those days and never threw a fit to it. As for the kid's parents? They need to learn how to be strict instead of being too soft on this bratty kid. By the time he becomes 18 and still causes trouble, we'll see how he likes it when he is spat on by others behind bars. And for the kid himself? He should learn to take the punishment seriously instead of throwing a massive fit and cause property damage that'll land him into a detention center for his lack of proper behavior.
That would be the last time he ever saw that PS4. It and all the games would be sold to help pay for the cost of fixing and/or replacing all the stuff he broke
Lol that's hilarious! π
Il take all his shiz away an ground that lil punk for a year.
