"Extra! Extra! Sony employee in E3 2015 hype shocker! Read all about it!" Y'all know that we're not fans of corporate bullcrap here at Push Square, but we suppose that this story needs sharing. PlayStation Asia employee Naito Arata has hinted that the Japanese giant's presence at next month's gaming convention will be "super crazy good". It's unclear whether he's merely excited, or has additional insight into what's going down.
"I'm coming this year," he said. "Although I thought that last year was the best ever, I predict that this year will exceed it." We reckon that it's going to depend on what you're looking for; we're expecting a heavy emphasis on third-party content from Sony, which could fall short of the competition's first-party blowouts. What could the platform holder announce that would meet your expectations? Cheer some hypothetical reveals in the comments section below.

Of course, current gen is just getting into its grove after casting off the shackles of last gen, I expect some very nice announcements at E3.
If he truly thought 2014 was the best E3 ever for Sony he's easily impressed....
Anyway, I don't care if they have a game to announce for this holiday or not but there needs to be one or two big first party reveals. Sony does have a good number of studios and they say they're all working on stuff so something should be ready. Since God of War 3 is getting the remaster treatment I'd like to think a God of War 4 showing might be possible but that's probably more likely for the PlayStation Experience.
Nah, it's going to be all Xbox ONE games, billions of them & nothing PS4 wise...(according to the internet at the moment)
I really liked their conference last year for 90% of it Sony were knocking it out of the park. Destiny alpha reveal, Grim Fandango Remastered, Infamous standalone DLC, Bloodborne announced, LittleBigPlanet 3's surprise reveal, No Man's Sky coming, first gameplay of Far Cry 4, Mortal Kombat X and Batman Arkham Knight, GTA V coming to PS4, Dead Island 2 reveal and finally Uncharted 4. I'd say it was a pretty impressive showing but people focused too much on the whole Powers section that they CONVENIENTLY forget everything else that happened.
@Gamer83
Agreed. If he thinks E3 2014 was the best, then I cannot believe him now for E3 2015. Probably both are empty PR words.
I will still check to see what they announce. If the Shenmue announcement was true, then Sony would finally get my money. Unless it is a time exclusive of course.
@Carl-G to tell the truth I kinda get that feeling myself. Microsoft would be an idiot if they didnt bring it hard. But I can see sony being like meh were in the lead, why waste energy. But also i think somewhere on here iirc sony wasnt doing much for e3 so that would have a strong showing at a european game show later. Or maybee I have it backwards.
I hope that in this super crazy good E3 there will also be some crazy good announcements for vita.
A lot of people are pessimistic about Sony's E3 this year. I am a bit more confident they will have a good show. This year is all about third party for me anyway with a potential Fallout 4 announcement.
Gran Turismo 7!
super stoked for E3 (dude)
Expecting: Bloodborne (standalone?!) DLC, more info on Ratchet & Clank and Tearaway, lots of 3rd party promotion, heavy indie emphasis, no more than two as yet unannounced 1st party AAA titles
Hoping: More than a passing mention of the Vita (maybe even one first party game?!), Gravity Rush PS4, some info about the Last Guardian
Obviously going to happen: Half Life 3 x The Last Guardian, available to purchase after conference..... exclusively on vita......
"Our E3 confrence will be good or average, not the best thing ever" - said no one ever.
E3 is generally the same every year unless there is a new console. I guess Sony have a new piece of Hardware to get 'excitable' over with Morpheus this year. I am not overly excited by Morpheus or the 'exclusives' announced so far that are due out before Christmas - well unless Hellblade lives up to the promise of its CGi and previous games from the developer.
I expect that 3rd Party games will be quite prominent - Destiny may have news about its 'major' expansion, Star Was Battlefront will be shown off, maybe some more details about Arkham Knights DLC too but as I have mentioned elsewhere I would prefer to see 3rd Party games at the publishers own conference with maybe a brief look at these, in particular the exclusive bonuses, during the console conference - not dominate or be the main focus of it.
At most, E3 throws up 1-2 surprises but often its just a bit more information and showcasing of games we already know 'something' about. The game I am most interested in, due out before E3 2016 is Uncharted 4 - from a Sony exclusive point of view - in fact after Batman releases next month, its my next most anticipated game and doubt Sony (XB1 or any other 3rd party developer) will change that.
@Jaz007 Exactly. XD
I'm perfectly happy with my ps4 and its games. 2015 is a truly stellar gaming year for me so ill watch it with lots of interest but honestly everything from this point on is just a bonus for me!
Oh, rly?
@adf86 Yeah I liked it as well
you would complain about sony too.
NOOOOOO. SONY will be top and will have best E3. PLAYSTATION POWER! ^-^
I'm kind of a pessimist when it comes to Sony's E3 TBH. When was the last time Sony had a good E3 ? I can't remember at all. I have low expectations. I bet they spend so much time on 3rd party. And of course they have to show stupid Destiny at all their conferences. That new expansion will probably get 10-1 minutes, they have to show Arkham Knight, and possibly COD, and Battlefront.
I'm a big fan of sports games, and EA Sports has already mentioned most of their fall titles will be at E3. So I at least have that stuff to look forward to, although I'm sure Sony will break out a surprise or two as well. I'm not even sure what to expect out of it, so I'm going in with low expectations from the start.
My son has mentioned he may want a Wii U for Christmas, so I'll be keeping an eye on Nintendo's E3 as well. I've contemplated getting a Wii U for awhile, but I always seem to pass it up. If my son doesn't get one, I may not ever get one. Lol
Give me medievil, siphon filter, gt7, gow4, and maybe, just maybe some crash or even a knack 2 (I know it was an average game but man I had fun playing through it 5 times). Also, bring back heavenly sword! Eh, I took the week of e3 off anyways so IL be watching.
@Kylebn Oh i would love that
I'm actually expecting Sony's presentation to be a bit lackluster. Would love to be wrong, though.
@Thrash13 lol thats what happend with me. I finally broke down and got "him" one. It feels nice to be able to like mario again lol. But Main games I wanna play are splatoon and smash bros but mainly xenoblade chronicals x, omg that game looks amazing, it needs to come to ps4......
@Dohv
2013 was good, though that was mostly based on how much it was trolling MS (I would say hypocritically since I will always believe Sony was fully prepared to go down the same path had people not raged at MS over its policies). In 2009 I thought Sony had the best E3 showing and 2011 was pretty good. But yeah, Sony's E3 history from 2006 onward has been spotty at best.
KLONOA 3!
