A while back now, it was rumoured that Destiny would be getting a larger expansion in September. The rumour started with a supposedly leaked image of the shooter's DLC plan, and now, eagle eyed NeoGAF user Kifimbo has spotted a trademark for 'The Taken King', which has appeared alongside what seems to be a logo.
With the title's second slice of DLC, House of Wolves, releasing later this month, we suppose that the timing lines up nicely. What 'The Taken King' actually turns out to be, however, we can't say just yet, although we do know that the game's expansion pass only mentions the first two DLCs. As such, we'd suggest anticipating a pretty hefty price tag to be attached this upcoming add-on.
What do you make of this? What are you hoping to see added to Destiny? Bow before the king in the comments section below.

Sounds to me like a standalone expansion pack. I, er, can't wait to see this at Sony's press conference next month! XD
@get2sammyb Standalone, £40/$49.99, retail and digital I reckon. Or at least, I could see it happening. It'll be the alternative to making the franchise annualised.
Works for me, although of course it's just GOT to have some more locations for us to explore, either new areas of current planets or - I'm hoping - some distant planets outside of our solar system, hopefully accessed via some wormhole that's popped up a bit like Interstellar
Devastated by this news, its clear Mays update isn't going to be all that if a bigger expansion is due in September. I'm calling shenanigans the money grabbing swines.
I hope they lose so many players that they'll finally learn what they've done wrong with Destiny and apply that knowledge when making Destiny 2.
...I feel like some dirty used sloozy after being dumb enough to buy that awful season pass last year. It was the first time I bought a season pass and its definitely the last.
@AyeHaley Me and you both dude, we got stung big time.
@themcnoisy Devastated? c'mon bro!
@kyleforrester87 Maybe that was a poor choice of word, disappointing is more apt. I don't mind horde modes, but unlike most people they dont hold my attention. Zombie modes off cod, horde off gears of war, invasion off halo, the mass effect 3 multiplayer - played them all, but its just a distraction which doesn't hold my attention. so this news is disappointing.
@themcnoisy But it's essentially the same as running rifts on Diablo? Multiple rooms that need to be cleared before moving on, getting increasingly harder. Have you tried the Nightfall strikes? They are fun because they are so tough and when you complete one you're happy about it. Just seems like the same thing with POE to be honest. It's not gunna set the world alight but as an end game activity it seems fine, and I'd take this over another raid as at least I'm going to be able to get 3 people together more consistently to reach the level cap, and then maybe go back and do Crota (or even level 26 VOG should be easy with 4 people when you're level 34 lol)
