Whoops! This author totally forgot about WAYP this week, meaning that he was forced to send an embarrassed email to the rest of the team this morning, begging for submissions. Fortunately, a handful of scribes followed through, which means our weekend feature is still yet to miss a week. This is impressive form considering how forgetful your humble host can sometimes be.

We've had a bit of a disaster getting Project CARS into my hands this week, but I'll finally be able to take Slightly Mad Studios' release for a spin starting today. I've also decided to play Batman: Arkham Origins, but its reluctance to stray from various open world clichés is already starting to grate.

When I'm not killing dragons and mining small ore deposits, you can usually find me executing people who have wronged me in Dragon Age: Inquisition [Again? Zzzzz! – Ed]. I'm finally making some headway during my second playthrough of BioWare's fantasy epic, but the call of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt grows stronger by the day. Will my Inquisitor's journey be finished by the time that Geralt swaggers onto the scene? With more than half of the game still to go, it's looking doubtful.

After a brief Sydney sojourn, I am back and ready to game. I still haven't beaten the first two episodes of Life is Strange, and also need to give Axiom Verge and Titan Souls a look. In other words, I'm probably going to have a busy weekend.

This weekend, I'll be returning to Castle Wolfenstein for what feels like the hundredth time in Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. While you'd think that I'd be bored of the Nazi citadel after decades of visits, I'm actually really excited to see what MachineGames has cooked up, after it surprised everyone with just how great Wolfenstein: The New Order turned out to be. On top of copious amounts of Nazi blasting, I'll also be marking the days off on my calendar, as we get closer and closer to the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Another weekend, another session of the spectacular Bloodborne. I'm finally on my New Game + run through, stacking Blood Echoes like never before. My end goal is that elusive Platinum Trophy (that our very own Ben Potter has already achieved), but plan to take the scenic route in this run through to find some of From Software's many secrets.

Besides doing all the graduating ceremony stuff this weekend at my university [Congrats, Joey - Ed], I'll be playing a lot of Ether One and probably jumping back into Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag to continue my swashbuckling pirate/assassin adventure.
That's us, then – but what's keeping your consoles' fans whirring this weekend? You know the drill by now: drop into the comments section, and let us know. See you next week!

I'm first! Working on various Vita games this weekend.
@Link41x Second! Just kidding: what's on the agenda?
Final Fantasy 14 Online: A Realm Reborn. All i have been playing lately.
@get2sammyb Destiny of Spirits and Killzone Mercenary
Trying to finish GTA V so I can trade it. I found it kinda boring, but since I am out of money I prefer to kill some time with it and then trade it.
@Melucine I've started GTAV twice now. I can fully appreciate its quality, but I find it all a bit long winded. It seems to drag on in parts, and the controls aren't fluid enough to truly hook me.
At least you don't have to climb up towers to unlock parts of the map, though. XD
Hotline Miami 2 and Shovel Knight, keeping my Vita busy with great games.
@get2sammyb
Exactly that! I can see how much they worked on it, but... :/
I don't play a lot of open world games, I find them boring. The only two I enjoyed where Sleeping Dogs Definte edition, I lked the story a lot and Saints Row IV Re-Elected. I loved how it did not take it self seriously and it's strange houmor.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
@Melucine I agree with you and @get2sammyb, I can appreciate it but it's just not my cup of tea.
As for what I am playing I am going retro again this weekend Castlevania SotN on PS and The Bigs 2 and GTA Vice City on PS2.
Mortal Kombat X
@Tasuki The Bigs 2? Wow, what's convinced you to go back to that.
Borderlands 2 first playthrough. Liking it SO much more than the first.
Getting the contracts done for the platinum on kill zone mercenarys on vita.
@Link41x are you going for plat on mercs ?
Il be working quite a bit, the curse for taking a week off guess, while playing project cars on pc and awaiting it's ps4 release. Also will be trying to talk myself out of the old blood as I found new order control scheme bothersome. Solid chance I get talked into destiny at some point as well.
Bit of shovel knight on Vita, bit of kirby power paint brush, and bloo kid 2 on 3ds is pretty good.....plus marking coursework - but that's no game I tell you!
Wolfenstein the old blood, reminds me of happier times with the FPS genre before all this 2 gun and regenerating health nonsense whilst wiping away all these awful Destiny memories. Also shooting Nazi's will never get old 😀
Like @Matt_Berial, i'm still playing FFXIV. I've just finished the main story in Before The Fall and it was genuinely fantastic! I can't wait for Heavenward.
@get2sammyb I actually never played it and at 2.99 at my local retro game store I couldn't pass up that price. Besides I have always enjoyed arcade style sports games over sim ones. Also I didn't know that 2K did it either.
I recently acquired Skyrim, so that will be keeping a hold on me for a while. The scale and the amount of content is simply breathtaking, and the freedom of how you approach things is amazing. I like to play a dual-weilding/stealth character. I actually find the stealth fun in a way because the game isn't designed around it.
Project cars addicted addicted addicted
Loadout, Valiant Hearts, and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood
Just played splatoon, now for dragon age multiplayer
I'm playing Murasaki Baby on Vita...I find the control system really annoying as I do the sounds and animations of him/her/it so I may not complete it. I'm playing Assassins Creed Unity on PS4. I picked it up once it's price dropped and its issues had been patched up. I'm enjoying wandering around Paris and collecting cockades and assassinating my foes. No chance of me accessing the multiplayer elements tho.
4 more trophies until I platinum bloodborne
Trying to put as much time as i can into Deus Ex Human Revolution, before project cars comes out in the states on Tuesday.
I'm playing "wait for the Witcher Wild Hunt to release" in between sessions of Transistor and some Dragon Age. Also, plenty of studying for final exams next week.
Just got my hands on Project Cars and finding it somewhat of a handful. Usually racing games come very easily to me. However, since I don't have a wheel, the controller is quite strange to use on here. Spent a long time trying configure the controller and have it kind of good, but steering inputs still feel strange...laggy almost, and corrections always lead to spinning out.
There is a great game in there though, once the controller is properly sorted.
I'm playing this 15 hour long shift at work.
Hopefully try and fit in some time on tropico 5, not my usual type of game but loving it so far
Project Cars, though slightly annoyed to find my old steering wheel doesn't work. Currently contemplating spending another £280 for the T300RS...
Time for some good old spanking, Mr. Barker.
shame on you
Anyway: Bloodborne NG+, Smash Bros Wii U, Castlevania Aria of Sorrow and 100%ing Kirby Triple Deluxe.
@AyeHaley Spanking? Why? Not that I'm complaining...
Iv been playing alot of Race The Sun mostly on Vita. What fun title! Even got the guys at work hooked. But its high time I started Ether One.
I've been trying so hard to like Project Cars the last couple of days, but I can't. This is game is my biggest disappointment of 2015 so far, from a technical standpoint (DLC ridden games disappoint too, but not necessarily because I don't like the game).
PC would finally bring "real" sim racing to the consoles and would look gorgeous and run on a stable 60fps. With smooth gameplay, good handling and awesome damage models, racing on consoles would never be the same. Unfortunately the reality is that this game over promised on almost every aspect. I was so looking forward to it and I've spent hours already trying to make the best of it, but it's totally not the experience that was promised us and I much rather play GT6 where my G27 dóes work.
Tomorrow I've got a date with Toukiden Kiwami, which I like a lot, and I'm gonna do another DmC run: I don't like remasters, or at the least the concept, but I got this as a gift and I am enjoying it thoroughly. I liked DmC on the PS3, but the framerate really bothered me, with the game running like it was supposed to I'm having a blast. I think with DMC4 I'll break my own code and buy the rematered version, because I can't keep on playing Bayonetta 2 for ever (or can I?)
Sleeping dogs definitive and got back into Destiny from 2 weeks ago but already starting to get bored again. Waiting for Witcher 3.
GTA V - there's so much to do and you really feel you're in that world.
Hey, I actually got my PS4 this weekend. Can't say how much I loved it. Have been playing Resogun and FF Type 0 the whole day.
@Heiki
Welcome to the PS4 family. I recommend inFamous: Second Son and First Light when you get done with FF Type 0.
@Tasuki The bigs 2 is brilliant, funnily I watched some baseball for the first time in ages yesterday. The Cardinals @ the pirates and I watched the pirates first triple play in 10 years.
My weekend has been all about Guacamelee absolutely ace game and going to game today woo woo.
Gonna try to platinum Strider on my PS4
I'm mostly playing red dead redemption this weekend, also a bit of project CARS.
First post, but I'm trying to toughen it through Dark Souls 2 remastered, truly a brilliantly challenging game! But I tend to always go back to MKX recently! Killing it with Kitana!
Besides som Animal Crossing on the 3DS, I'll be diving into some good old fashioned hunting for Cabela's African Adventures on PS4 and Overlord 2 on PS3...hopefully the Overlord franchise isn't dead...would love to see those hellish minions come back for a PS4 title!
The gf is playing GTA V as she's never played it before. With her being on the ps4 I've gone back to Demons Souls on the ps3. Didn't expect it to be, but it's really easy compared to Dark Souls and Bloodborne.
Another thing: I downloaded Ether One and played the first few mins, but it made the ps4 sound like it was taking off and kept freezing.
downloaded it again, same thing.
I will not be giving it a third chance.
FF14
A couple days ago i completed the upgrade to my Animus weapon by infusing matera to a scroll and binding it to the blade and made it into a Novus. Now i am doing some Light farming to enhance it further by gathering Aether or Souls to glaze the blade with.
Before: This is the Animus

Playing Dark Souls 2: Scholar Of The First Sin until The Witcher 3 releases, cannot wait for The Witcher 3 & Arkham Knight.
wolfenstein old blood and project cars
Need a break from bloodborne, so relive guacamelee, completed the original and plat it and now on ps+ I'm Gonna give the mega super dooper version or what ever its called 😃 Ps don't want to do the 6 orbs again sigh
Just got on a 12 hour bus ride across Thailand. But Tales of Hearts R and Suikoden 1 will make the time fly by. This is why Vita is just so darn loveable!
Been playing Project Cars and am loving it. The difficulty level means that it won't be long before the arcade types, who just want to knock you off the track, rather than race, won't be around long as they slide off the track repeatedly.
