Ah, the weekend couldn't come soon enough for this particular author, as it's been an eye-opening couple of days. With the FA Cup Final on the television, several new games to play, and the sun even shining, you won't hear your humble host complaining over the next 48 hours β even if Arsenal beat local team Aston Villa.

I'll be juggling my time between three titles this week: Beach Buggy Racing, Ultra Street Fighter IV, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I've yet to play the former, but I'm hoping that it fills the kart-shaped hole that currently exists in the PlayStation 4's library. As for USF4, well, I'm enjoying it despite the reported flaws. And while the shoddy controls are putting me off CD Projekt Red's latest a bit, I have been very impressed with some of the writing so far.

This weekend is all about ridding the world of its last few contracted monsters in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It's been a long and gruelling road, and the beasts are only getting tougher, but with a cool looking suit of armour and a fully upgraded quen shield, I can and will cheese my way to victory.

ALRIGHT, FINE! This weekend I'm still playing The Witcher 3, okay? Same as last weekend, and it'll probably be the same for the next few weekends as well, alright? You're in rarefied air here, people. I haven't left my filthy crisp packet-lined hovel in nine days β not even for the toilet! So next time you're wondering what I'm playing, you can probably make an educated guess. Try not to knock over the pee jars on the way out.

Moving into a new place isn't leaving me a whole lot of time to play anything, but I think I might be able to sneak in some time with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag has finally been completed after months of unfortunate procrastination. Not that it was bad, of course β I loved it more than I expected after being let down by the mediocrity of Assassin's Creed III. Starting this weekend, I think I'm going to dive into completing The Evil Within and Transistor. There's nothing to hold me back now!

Upon just nabbing my Platinum Trophy in Bloodborne and installing a 2TB HDD in my PS4, I'm planning on catching up on some back-catalogue games like Far Cry 4, The Last of Us Remastered multiplayer, and Shadow of Mordor... Followed by more Bloodborne.

This fine weekend I'll be booting up my PS4 for a spot of dungeon crawling in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. I'm still in search of those final few pesky trinkets for that glorious Platinum. Also, in the line up for this weekend is the fabulous Badland: Game of the Year Edition, a charming little title which is very addictive.
We've talked until our throats are dry, so now it's your turn to spout some insight. What are you playing this weekend? Let us know in the comments section below.

Simon Fitzgerald Have you got the Godhead? I did what was needed but I haven't it on my item list, do you know if this is bugged? Nickalis are kinda terible at communications
I play mainly Borderlands Collection still at B2, I love the wicked strange hoymor, especially the quest with Scooter's Poem! Also I am playing a bit of Lunar Silver Story complete at my Vita, If I want to relax with something else.
Nothing its a drinking weekend.....but if Maybe some gameing would happen witcher 3
I'll mainly be playing Final Fantasy X HD but also messing around on Dragon Ball XenoVerse with some friends
Mario Kart 8 online, and Ouya
There's only 2 games project cars for me is taking the top spot but I must start playing the witcher again but,,, there's just too many people to humiliate online.
After an absolute age of not playing, this morning I've now started to properly sink my teeth into Bloodborne. After sticking a couple extra points in my Vitality I finally gave Gazza the boot, and have followed that up by offing Blood Starved Beast, Vicar Amelia and the Witches all on the first time! Absolutely loving it and it just keeps getting better, although I do have to say I can't help but feel that the further you get it seems to be getting easier as you start to get a little OP (and I've not done any grinding since Gascoigne) - anyone else find that?
@SteveButler2210 I had a similar experience with Gazza. I really feel like he's the hump that helps you to better 'understand' the game - once you get past him, it all starts to click. It does get harder again, don't worry - although I found Vicar Amelia pretty darn tough.
Still catching up on the backlog like mad... Working on the Platinum for Tales of Graces f.
@get2sammyb Definitely. And yeah I'm sure it does, there are a few places I've sort of stumbled on where I really didn't last long (including a very early encounter with Paarl). I think what saved me in Amelia was that I'd invested mostly in Vitality, which let me tank a few hits whilst laying the damage on. Fire paper made her HP drop super fast!
@Melucine I haven't got godshead yet. I still need to do everything with the lost and boss rush on hard with ???. Apart from that I've completed everything else on hard with every other character.
The most annoying secrets to get for me atm are definitely super meat boy and super bandage girl.
I have had a few issues with trophies not pinging for the game but it usually sorts itself out when you reboot the game. I haven't experienced any secrets not unlocking though.
@fit6958
It's very hard to do it and you need lot's of luck, also cloud save is your friend!
@Melucine yeah I'll get to the lost after my final boss rush with ???. So you can use cloud save at any point so that you have multiple tries at one run with the lost?
Saints Row 4, Far Cry 4, Destiny,..
@fit6958
I should have worded it better, you can use the cloud save to help you unlock everything execpt the Lost's item. If you leave a game while playing with the Lost, you will die at the moment you will try to continue, making it even harder.
Witcher 3 for me mostly, with a little Pokemon Omega Ruby on the side. Hoping to be playing Splatoon if my copy arrives soon.
Soul Caliber II on the Gamecube for me. I have become addicted to this game again.
Destiny is grabbing me back again with House of Wolves. I'll probably play some New Little King's Story on Vita too.
All my gaming time is still going to the Witcher...
Tekken probably. I haven't played AC2 in a month because I'm close to the part where the two sequences are missing and I'd rather have them to get the full story.
Yeah, for once I'm willing to pay to advance the story. That's how invested I got into it.
The Witcher, 35 hours in and still feel like I've barely started probably spent too much time playing gwent. Loving my time though and not rushing so I guess I'll still be playing come Christmas π
Last week spotted the 2015 time crisis 4 in the arcade so gonna take the family out and loose a few pounds on that
I'm away from home so gonna finish FFX hd on vita - but I need my charger. Mad story but didn't get my luggage. If you notice me online you know why!! (my luggage has arrived)
Played a little bit of Fetch infamous prequel and may do some clean up on Saints Row Reelected for the plat.
I'm playing a good mix of witcher 3 (still early on), Bloodborne (just past blood starved beast), and borderlands 2 (ps4 version runs so much better!) My wife is playing stick of truth.
Speaking of Bloodborne - I haven't figured out how to kill a death dealer yet. I went to the village and was able to sneak out without a guide or dying (I only knew that there was a lamp that takes you out), but I can't for the life of me fight them.
@Melucine well there is an update in the works for Rebirth that will make the lost easier by giving him D4 to start and spectral tears they will probably also fix that issue. There is also Afterbirth which is DLC and is gonna add hundreds of hours of gameplay. I can't wait!
I haven't bought a new game at all this year. I'm cheap and saving up for my first vehicle before I start college in the fall. With that being said for me it's just ...
Madden 15 (PS4)- I love connected franchise
@fit6958
I hope the Rebirth update will fix my rpoblem. As for the DLC I know, I am waiting for it! Easily one of my favourite games.
Batman Arkham City, just got the steelbook version on 360 for 3.50. Can't believe how cheep last gen games are now. I never bothered with the batman games but just recently played Arkham Asylum, now Arkham City then I'll probably look for a goty origins
@Melucine I would argue, it's gotta be the best!
Witcher 3
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D and Assassin's Creed III: Liberation on Vita.
I managed to play a bit of Mario Kart 7, Smash Bros for 3DS and Resogun on Vita, because I wanted a little break from the other 2.
I finally managed to platinum Ether One in the wee hours and I will be promtply deleting it next cuance I get. The game wasnt that bad but even post patch iv had severe technical issues with frame rates in the single digits and saves taking literally 12 mins to load. So ill play some Race the Sun on Vita this weekend.
Witcher 3 for me!
I started playing Remember Me (PS3) recently, just finished Episode 03: High Tension Deep Exit.
I'm feeling the blues this morning because I finished The Witcher 3 last night.
My final playtime was, I kid you not, 10 days and 36 mins! That is an awful lot of hours but to be fair, I have hardly been off it since I bought it.
In my opinion, it's one of the best and most enjoyable games I have ever played and i've already started it again on the hardest difficulty this time.
Thankyou CD Projekt Red.
@ToddlerNaruto Are you enjoying it? I really like that game, good atmosphere to it.
Haven't played anything but witcher 3 since launch. Even ESO won't get a lookin now and I was waiting for that to come out for ages.
Hand of fate.
My most hated game at the moment. I'm an extremely unlucky guy and this game depends 80% on luck and 20% on skill. Still like it, though.
Splatoon!!!
Honest to God, it's the best shooter I've ever played in my life. It's been a good 10 years since I've played a game that could make me rage this hard; likewise, it's been a good 10 years since I played a game this addictive and fun (barring Monster Hunter and Fire Emblem). I played it for 12 hours straight yesterday. And I'm about to play it for another 12 hours today.
Splatoon (Wii U) - I hate that the game rotates which maps you can play on at set times. Why not make it like Mario Kart where players can choose which map they want to play on, and it's decided by randomly selecting one of the stages players voted for? Besides that, it's great. No match feels the same, so the small amount of maps seems like it won't get stale before the free dlc is released.
Stretchmo (3DS) - Getting close to unlocking the final mode.
Mega Man 8 (PSone Classics) - Besides the voice acting, this game's not that bad. Not one of the better games in the series, but still fun.
@JaxonH @BLPs - Your saying it wrong, its like this -
SPLATOOOOOON!!!
@ApostateMage I'm loving Remember Me, it has great story, fluid combat, and the scenery is amazing for a 2013 game.
Destiny, FIFA and Project Cars
