The Astronauts' acclaimed adventure game The Vanishing of Ethan Carter was announced for the PlayStation 4 a little while ago, but it's now just three or four months away from release. In an interview by Game Reactor – dug up by NeoGAF – creative director Adrian Chmielarz reveals the timeline, while also talking a little bit about the console version itself.
The video's a little bit spoiler heavy, so you may want to give it a wide berth if you fancy going into the release fresh, but the main takeaway is that the title's now running on Unreal Engine 4, ridding it of the various hitches and technical issues that popped up in the PC version. The developer's also made minor tweaks to the experience based on player feedback.
For those out of the loop, the game sees you play as Paul Prospero, a detective with occult-like abilities. Upon receiving a disturbing letter from a boy named Ethan, the paranormal police officer takes a trip to Red Creek Valley, where he must use his powers to investigate a brutal murder and find the child. You can catch the full interview below.

I'm really looking forward to this game, as I do enjoy these style of games. Hopefully, it looks as beautiful as the PC version.
@Crimson_Ridley He seems to allude in the interview that it's looking better, but obviously a beefy PC will outperform the PS4 every time.
I didn't much enjoy the PC version
cant wait!
Looking forward to this. Was wondering just yesterday if there was going to be an update. Thanks! Didn't watch the video though, because I don't want spoilers.
