It feels like a lifetime ago that we first saw The Division, Ubisoft's open world, online shooter, and role-playing game hybrid. Since then, we've heard bits and pieces about the release, but with the publisher concentrating on other franchises such as Assassin's Creed, any big news has likely been postponed.
We could well see the game at E3 2015, but it doesn't look like you'll be popping it into your PlayStation 4 this year. According to Ubisoft's earnings report, it expects to release The Division in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year – which means early 2016.
It perhaps comes as little surprise, since the company will be throwing out a couple of big titles later this year in Assassin's Creed Syndicate and Rainbow Six: Siege, but we've no doubt that some of you will be disappointed nonetheless. Are you still looking forward to the long promised shooter? Gun us down in the comments section below.

I'm really looking forward to this but I must say I'll wait for a review first given there recent track record. I hope it lives up to the excited feeling I got when I was looking at the new games for this gen waiting for my new release ps4. Actually thought I'd have got it long ago
God feels like we've been waiting forever and now it feels even further away!
Wow, delayed again huh? I mean, its not necessarily a bad thing I guess, because it could turn out much better as a result. But, at what cost? Should we be expecting a Watch Dogs style graphical downgrade and copy-paste side activities like every other Ubisoft open world game, thus not living up to the hype? I can't help but feel a little skepical about the game now.
Early 2016? I'll take it considering I was expecting it somewhere between 2016 october and early 2018..
Oh, ah man.
Ubisoft. As expected, I just hope the delay helps the game and it's not Watchdogs all over again WHEN it finally releases.
No harm, I've way too many games to finish already!
