Crowd funded racing game Project CARS has pulled ahead of the pack, scoring the first simulation podium position since GRID 2 all the way back in 2013. The title sold best on the PlayStation 4 – which is not especially surprising considering the lack of similar games on Sony's system – and finished in front of familiar favourites such as Mortal Kombat X and Grand Theft Auto V.
All of the usual suspects rounded out the top ten: FIFA 15, Dying Light, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Battlefield Hardline, Minecraft, and Destiny. Bloodborne continued to tumble down the Top 40, while the PewDiePie promoted Skate 3 re-entered in 38th position. We wonder whether EA's keeping a close eye on that title's success, and pondering a sequel yet.
