Alright, who sent Bandai Namco's ordinary art department on vacation? Ever since its announcement, Katsuhiro Harada and crew have been revealing some seriously out-there characters for Tekken 7 – but this all-new tentacle-infused iteration of cyber ninja Yoshimitsu really takes the biscuit.
While his dizzying attacks certainly look familiar, the slimy members protruding from his body are, er, different – well, unless you're a fan of the franchise's hentai spin-offs. The character's also been given a squid face, because... why not? Of course, none of this is entirely unprecedented: he inexplicably sprouted insect wings in Tekken 4.

His acid/poison spitting attacks at least make more sense now.
WHEN I played Tekken (half a million years ago) this was my fav. character. Now they turned him into Cyber-Cthulhu?! Well... I'm fond of lovecraftian tales so this could be worse really. Anyways, I got my fighting game fix with MKX!
Seriously, what the f***! Still hyped for the game though.
I LOVE his new look. <3
Guess he is an inkling now. Yoshi has always been a freak anyway.
Pretty cool, IMO. Yoshimitsu has always been a crazy character - just look at his designs over the years.
Octomitsu.
I'm confused as to why this design even occurred.
Doesn't seem too out of the ordinary for me....
When he does the spin attack his face will be flapping around. Dont get the new look at all.
Wait, Tekken has a hentai spin off? That's more bizarre than this new Yoshimitsu look.
Is there something about Yoshimitsu I don't know? This makes no sense!
I've seen enough anime to know where this is going.
Uhh... ever since the 2nd game (ithink) His desighns have been somewhat odd but still iv always liked them dont see the problem.
I'm lovin it......
Uh.. dunno how much Tekken you've played but this is normal. It would be much stranger if he looked like Jin or something... He's a futuristic, alien ninja, always has been and they've nailed the look again, just as they (almost) always have. It's also perfectly normal for ninjas to dress up as demons (oni) to intimidate their enemies, again, as Yoshimitsu always has just in a more futuristic way in Tekken, a normal/traditional way in SoulCalibur. In fact, this just looks like a Tekken version of his squid head design from SoulCalibur III which, might I add, was way back on the PS2.
How could they ruin one of my favorite Tekken characters to this extreme?
I haven't cared since Tekken 5 and this definitely is the nail in the coffin,he looks like an alien! Blasphemous
@KAPADO He IS an alien and he's been this weird looking since Tekken 3 in both Tekken and the SoulCalibur series...
I remember when this guy was called Kit Fisto.
