As expected, Sony took the opportunity during its big E3 2015 press conference last night to announce Destiny: The Taken King for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 β a souped expansion that will be available from 15th September. And as has become customary for the series, there'll be a little extra content for fans of the Japanese giant's flagship formats.
Franchise aficionado β and PlayStation executive β Adam Boyes took to the PlayStation Blog to confirm the slate of exclusive content that will be available for the PS4 and PS3. The goodies include a bonus weapon, some unique gear sets, an extra competitive multiplayer map, and a bonus co-op Strike. We've included all of the official information below.
Destiny: The Taken King PlayStation Exclusive Content
Co-Op Strike:
The Echo Chamber
Join forces with your fellow guardians to hold off an onslaught of Vex, and sabotage their efforts to bridge time and undo the victories of the past.
Competitive Multiplayer Map:
Sector 618
Challenge your fellow Guardians in this Crucible map set within the ruins of an Earth colony reclaimed from the House of Wolves. Fans of Clash and Control modes will find plenty to love in this mid-sized arena: each side's narrow chambers give way to an open center area, connected only by two exposed bridges and a handful of small platforms for the adventurous.
Exotic Weapon:
The Jade Rabbit
Featuring a 13-shot magazine, advanced scope, and adorable rabbit decal, this is the Scout Rifle you bring to a sniper fight.
Legendary Gear Sets:
Guardians over Level 20 should keep an eye out for brand new, complete armor sets (helmet, chest piece, arms, and legs) for each class.
Hesperos (Titan)
Azoth Bend (Warlock)
Neuroghast (Hunter)

I'm not certain as to what new content there will be generally - planets/any new story missions?
Super excited for this!
@kyleforrester87 To be honest, I don't think they've really said much yet. @ShogunRok may know more as he knows more about the series than me.
@get2sammyb Thanks. I havn't had much chance to look into it yet, I think I glimpsed Saturn in a screenshot?? Honestly, if it's a physical release I'd really hope for at least as much content as the base game had!
I'm done.
That Titan gear looks completely new. That Warlock chest piece however is a re-skinned. :/ Not so sure about the Hunter gear, though.
