On a day where practically every gaming dream one could imagine has come true... Well, why not toss the Anniversary Edition DualShock 4 into the mix, eh? The controller – which was originally only available with limited edition PlayStation 4 consoles – will be available this September in North America for $64.99. A snazzy wireless headset will also be available for $99.99.

Enough with the ridiculous price for a control Sony. 65 bucks for a control. That is the one thing that makes me mad owning a PS4.
I'll buy it.
@Tasuki They are steep, agreed. Love the finish on it, though.
It's so purty doe.
My god...it's so gorgeous. Way overpriced but I'll probably end up getting it. Dang.
Also, while the price is steep, that new Xbox One controller is going for $150, so there's that. To be fair, that controller does have a lot of neat enhancements and this PSone DS4 is just a basic controller but still. Been a long time since I remember controllers being reasonably priced. Although for the tech in these, I don't think the asking prices are outrageous.
Controller max £35 - sorry Sony remove the light bar and touchpad and the share button as well please.
Ive bought 3 pads so I'm actually part of the problem.
Make the sticks rubber tougher for God's sake, started peeling off early on, Xbox one controller still hanging on after about a year, and that's handling my ten year old son playing it more than I play the ps4, such poor quality Sony, also why is the touch pad generally a start button, lame, where's the originality at Sony, also a light bar I never use but can't turn off, again, lame, as it eats the cap out of my battery, least micro crap didn't try and fix something that wasn't broken and ended up breaking it more
@themcnoisy
Nah man, I still think they could do neat stuff with the touch pad if somebody would try. Something like a potential Gravity Rush 2 could have touchpad functionality.
Oh man these are both so great.
If I could I would have already ordered them!
I hope they've changed those bloody analogue sticks. They last about 3 months!
@SeahorseLegs I'm with you there. I only get the chance to play my PS4 for an average of 5-10 hours a week and my sticks are already tearing apart.
darn it I want to get a red Dualshock really bad, I've got a camo and I wanted to keep at least one of my black ones already traded one for the camo.. ,but for this I just might trade my other black one!
Yes! The controller's available!
I'm happy we got that, considering it was near impossible to get a 20th anniversary PS4.
What's with all the complaints about the analogue sticks? I have two controllers, neither of which have any issues and I can't exactly make out where they would even wear out. Or are the early controllers slightly different?
I agree about the light bar, touch pad and speaker being a waste of time and batteries.
@Eldritch early controllers were different from what I understand. They changed them about 6 months in.
@Flurpsel Ah right. Thanks for the heads up. Thought perhaps I was missing something as mine certainly get a lot of use and have no signs of wear or tear.
I got mine July last year and have clocked hundreds of hours since with only one controller and both sticks are fine too
