Ah, good old gwent. When Geralt isn't wandering around the wilderness cutting monsters to ribbons, you can usually find him challenging some hapless merchant to a game of cards. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's gwent is a rather addictive optional minigame, and it even features its own set of quests - some of which are impressively in-depth. As such, you'll want the best deck that you can get your hands on, and thankfully for rookie card players, this week's free downloadable content should provide some help.
Alongside a whole new quest called Fool's Gold, the 'ballad heroes neutral card set' most likely consists of several neutral character cards, which means that they can be added to any of the four faction decks. As always, you should be able to nab both DLC packs when the PlayStation Store updates - unless Sony Europe's late again, of course.

I quite like Gwent and was wondering if there were any quests related to it, looking forward to finding them already.
Can't say I am bothered by the extra Gwent cards myself. I didn't really buy the game to play cards...
It will make a great collectable card game like Magic...easier and quicker
im still a bit confused by gwent. i just place every card i have and then usually lose lol. i don get it. but id like to. maybe i should go internettin to find out how to actually play it.
I'm not fussed on Gwent myself but I'll make the effort for the trophy.
Recently found a cave with what looks like a bricked up door with stone pig heads on either side... I wondered what it was about!
Uh oh, is this another delay? Almost 11PM in the UK and "Wednesday's" DLC is nowhere to be seen on the PS Store. Unless I'm mistaken, the PC version has it already.
Edit: Well it's out now. I guess it's still kind of Wednesday for me since I'm a nightowl.
I know non of this weekly DLC is ground breaking stuff but nice to see a Developer not try and nickle and dime people to death.
@Splat Yeah, although to be fair this is a case where it really IS stuff that was removed from the game. People always throw that accusation around baselessly when talking about DLC, but if it wasn't for this DLC then there'd only be 2 haircuts for Geralt in the game - odd when you consider numerous barbers are found in the cities and TW2 had way more than that.
These new gwent cards aren't new cards either, they're just different artwork for existing cards. I'm not complaining in a big way, it's free and that's that, but this is definitely just stuff they've taken out the game to release over the next few months so they'll get a weekly mention on every gaming news website and free marketing. It's fine, I don't say this in a negative way, although it is a bit odd to see people taking it as such a great thing that they're basically delaying small elements of the game for marketing purposes.
@Matroska oh, to be a cynic...
I actually don't play Gwent, there is just too much to do in the game world to sit and play cards.
