While the PlayStation Vita may be a "legacy" system these days, Sony clearly still sees the need to increase the device's software stability. A new firmware update β numbered v3.52 for those keeping count β deployed overnight, offering no other tangible changes. To grab the download, just head to the Settings bubble and select System Update.
Hmm, now we need to pad out this article for another paragraph. Here's a good question: do you think that the Vita will ever get another meaningful firmware update β or are we consigned to a future in which nebulous stability improvements rule the roost? Also sinking like a rock
Most probably another block to limit people "jail-breaking" their PSVs.
After this update Danganropna stoppeed working for me.
i'm getting system software erros, and then it takes me to safe mode...
Tryed to rebuild databse, that didn't help, now i'm installing update again but from PC, if that doesn't work, I will download game again.
I am using 64gb card.
EDIT: OK it's not the FW, I just copyed game from PC to my Vita trough CM, and it works just fine..
I am keeping all my DLed games on PC, so I can copy them, it's much faster then download.
@Snorky one cannot 'jailbreak' their PS Vita's...
This 'stability fix' bloks the use of the PlayStation Mobile SDK and the homebrew enabling Rejuvenate hack, the hack does not Jailbreak the device, but rather lets people run some homebrew, those homebrew would be considered by many to resemble indie games....
I'm sure we'll get another meaningful update............... that removes more app/features probably.
Thank You Santa!!!
"now we need to pad out this article for another paragraph"
Why, for SEO purposes?
That's because new games are still coming out for it. And everybody forgets that.
@KratosMD Not sure those errors were caused by any fw update, I've pretty much always experienced similar errors when browsing the store on mine. Not so much that it's unusable, but still fairly frequently all the same. Confident it's not a problem with our internet either, as we've got pretty stable 40Mbps fibreoptic and have no problems on any other devices.
Still, if the new update has gotten rid of the problem entirely, I'll be happy!
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi LOL
rejuvenate?
Please do not discuss modding or jailbreaking systems here it is against the rules here -Tasuki-
I wish the Vita was getting more love, but really, there are enough titles for it, and I have plenty of games I haven't gotten all the way through. And it's still a very impressive piece of tech.
Just a friendly reminder guys discussion of modding or jailbreaking systems is against the rules here if you want to discuss that sort of thing there are other places out there to discuss it. This is not one of those places.
Thanks for understanding.
I think everyone still interested in the vita who knows sony isn't bothering with it anymore also knows what this update is all about π
Good to see Sony still cares.
