The team last worked on Killzone: Mercenary

Guerrilla Cambridge, the British arm of Dutch first-party Guerrilla Games, is gearing up to announce a 3v3 arena shooter named Rigs at Sony's press conference, reports Videogamer.com. A trademark for the title filed by SCEE was spotted earlier today, and the website claims to have the first details on it – courtesy of an unnamed source, of course.

According to the site, the title will see you taking control of mechs – hence the name – and earning power-ups through continued kills. Bizarrely, the publication claims that you'll have to – and we quote – "jump down a hole in the centre of the map to score points for your team". To what avail, we've absolutely zero idea.

It's worth noting that Guerrilla Cambridge is not to be confused with Guerrilla Games – the latter of which is believed to be working on an open world role-playing game named Horizon. Given the trademark filing, it seems likely that Rigs will be announced today. We're not sure that we're too hyped at the prospect of another arena shooter, though.
