Fallout 4 may be today's big game announcement, but that hasn't stopped Activision from debuting its own considerably more family orientated title as well. Skylanders: SuperChargers is the newest game in the long-running toys-to-life franchise, and it will feature all manner of motoring mayhem.
Indeed, the title will launch with a set of 20 new figurines, and will include vehicular and aerial combat. What's more, you'll be able to pair select Skylanders with their specific vehicle to receive an in-game boost for both.
Speaking of which, these are arguably the best looking figurines in the franchise's now bloated catalogue, as they don't appear to have the enormous, unwieldy bases which previously made playing with them in real life a bit of a pain. Not that we'd know anything about that, of course – we're all very grown up professional video game players around here. Ahem.
At any rate, you'll want to watch the slightly obnoxious debut trailer, gird your wallets for the September release date, and then, finally, give us your thoughts in the comments section below.

If this was just a cart racer without the toys and stuff, I would consider.
@XFsWorld That's what I was thinking, too.
"the title will launch with a set of 20 new figurines, "
Two things.
1. I believe they said there will be 20 vehicles and 20 supercharger figures that can operate them, so I suspect another 2 dozen non supercharged figures for about 60 total. Though if they want to only do 40 total Im more than happy w/ that.
2. The title will probably only "launch with" 10 or 12 charactrrs and 6 or 8 vehivles. It takes liteally months for Activision to release all of these as the drip them out in waves. The light and dark elements in Trap Team werent even announced until motns after the game came out. We wont see all 20/40 until Feb or March.
I wonder if they will be doing away with traps after 1 game?
