Expecting a typically witty write-up? Sorry, office RPG enthusiast Robert Ramsey is away, which means that it's down to this clueless scribe to compose 100 or so words on Suikoden III. The classic PlayStation 2 title originally released in Japan and North America back in 2002, but is receiving the PlayStation 3 re-release treatment next week.
The game β which was generally well received by critics β is set approximately 16 years after the events of Suikoden II β well, according to Wikipedia anyway. Unlike its predecessors, its plot is explored through three different perspectives, rather than from that of a single protagonist. This should be a welcome arrival, considering the furore that surrounded the first two titles at PlayStation Experience late last year.

Yay Suikoden!
Wait, is this a "PS2 Classic" or does this come with trophies and such?
cool, I hope they eventually add suikoden V as that's the only one I've never got to try (well I didn't try IV or the PSP one either but I've heard one should stay away for those)...
For those who haven't tried 3, it's not as good as 1 or 2 but is worth playing, and don't skip Thomas scenarios as that's the best part of the game
I would also like to know if this will be PS2 classic, PSN or disc based.
I looked it up, apparently a PS2 classic.
Finally I get to play this! Thank you, thank you for releasing this!
besides the DS Episode "Tierkreis" and the "Tactics"-game this is the only episode I have never played of that Series - my favourites are: 1, 2, and 5, 4 was extremely poor imo and a total disappointment, whereas 5 was on par as brilliant as 1 and 2. Such a shame my PS3 is broken, my hopes are that someday I can play it in europe on my ps4 or vita ^^
