The outstanding Rocket League will be racing onto the PlayStation 4 from 7th July, developer Psyonix has announced – and there'll be a sugary treat for Sony fans. Writing on the PlayStation Blog, the developer has confirmed that Twisted Metal anti-hero Sweet Tooth will be joining the roster as an exclusive unlockable car. Well, it's the closest that we're going to get to a new entry in David Jaffe's legendary series, isn't it?
The good news doesn't end there, however, as the release will also boast cross-play with the PC edition, meaning that there'll be no shortage of opponents for you to play ball with. We absolutely adored the beta for this, so can't wait for the final version – this is probably going to be one of this author's most played games of the year. The almost-finished version will be on display at E3 this month, so look out for more then.

Day zero! We absolutely need to establish a Push Square team for this!
That's SWEEEETTTT. I loved the Beta and yes @get2sammyb lets do it!
@get2sammyb Permission to join Sammy?
@XFsWorld @adf86 Yeah, we'll work something out. I know I've said this several times in the past, but it has to happen for this game. Hopefully it's got a clans/clubs system built-in.
Man, Fallout 4 and Rocket League news in one day. Between Rocket League, The Witcher III, and Rainbow Six Siege I think I'm good for the year.
@get2sammyb If not, then we could just exchange PSN names
@icarusdreams If we didn't have any new releases this year I would still be set, I'm still playing catch-up lol
@get2sammyb Such a fantastic game!!! Can't wait for this and it leaves me enough time to finish The Witcher.
What kind of game is this? I have never heard of it till now.
Is it wrong that I'm way more excited for this than Fallout 4?
@Quintumply Not really, I am in the same boat, I can care less about Fallout 4. I am glad that it's coming out for fans of the series though.
@Tasuki Totally!
Also, to answer your question - Rocket League is a game in which two teams of cars play football. These cars are rocket powered, so you can boost, and you can also do double jumps and flips etc.
It's a really simple idea and the best way to explain how the game works is to watch some footage.
I can tell you now though that it is seriously good fun!
@Quintumply oh nice might have to check that out. Oh man 4 player splitscreen that would be great for my guys nights, now if only PS4 controllers weren't so expensive.
