Despite a troubled PC launch, the console version of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited has wandered to the top of the UK sales charts. Surprisingly, the game actually sold best on the Xbox One, despite recent role-playing releases like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt faring stronger on Sony's format. It's not clear at the time of typing how big the split was, however.
According to Chart-Track, cumulative sales of the title exceeded those registered by Battlefield Hardline's launch earlier in the year – but were less than CD Projekt Red's aforementioned epic, which still holds the crown of biggest debut of 2015 so far. Elsewhere, newcomers LEGO Jurassic World and Payday 2: Crimewave Edition both appeared in the top five.

Hey, isn't it great to see a top 5 that doesn't mostly consist of FIFA, GTA, and CoD?
@ShogunRok Don't worry, there's still plenty of that just outside the top five!
So someone riddle me this, is the new elder scrolls that good? I really liked oblivion n skyrim. But this is a mmo as I understand it. Is there a chance I would still enjoy it?
Is there enough in common with the older games gamplay wise?
Looks like next week Splatoon will drop off the charts. I thought that would happen, that it'd basically sell its lifetime sales immediately then disappear. I know all games sell most at launch but they usually have more legs than this, as that chart shows with most of the games being far from new.
@BladeRider Well it went F2P almost immediately, so probably not. The sense of freedom you get in TES normally isn't there, you can't move things around or steal stuff. It's the usual reskinned WoW thing, really. I think this chart position is just the usual result of a massive marketing push as well as people thinking "Wow, Skyrim 2!", not word of mouth about the quality of the game.
@Matroska thanks man thats what was kinda worrying me about it. Not saying its a bad game tho guess I was hoping it retained a bit of the open world features n freedoms .
BUT there is stilll fallout 4!!
@BladeRider @Matroska Well you definitely can steal and pickpocket so don't know where you came up with that. Anyways, my friend and I have been having a lot of fun. It's not Skyrim but it's still a fun game set in the same world. Even with the issues, we enjoy it. "Surprisingly," we got it on the Xbox One.
