Ultra Street Fighter IV's dismal PlayStation 4 port may have secured both Sony and Capcom a black eye, but if there's a silver lining, it's that developer Other Ocean Interactive has been busy nursing the release back to full health with a series of post-release updates. A new patch for the fighter will roll out today, and it promises reduced input lag across the board. This is good news for those that demand tournament precision in order to land their Zangief piledrivers just right.
The update also promises a slew of online improvements, as well as various audio mix tweaks and some corrected graphical bugs. We haven't been able to test this in the flesh just yet, but the previous patch really enhanced the experience, so we're expecting more of the same here. It does make you wonder why the title wasn't just delayed until after E3, though β this sorry mess could have been easily evaded, after all.

Goody goody gum drops. Anyone up for a game tonight?
Sounds great. It shouldn't have been like this, but I'd rather have a fixed game than a busted one.
For those interested, this test puts it within a fraction of the Xbox 360 tournament version. Lag is 89ms after this patch; 360 is 85ms.
@get2sammyb boooooo how is xbox360 faster???
This is great, now if only I can use my 360 fight pad on my PS4.
Now I can download it tonight can't wait for tomorrow morning ππ¨π¨π¨π¨
Good to see them fixing this so quickly, might pick it up when it goes into it's first sale. Β£10 would be nice. More interested in Street Fighter 5 and Tekken 7 right now though so if E3 tells us they're out soon I might just wait for them.
@themcnoisy Ideally they'll want to get it the same. Tournament players will be adjusted to the way the 360 game plays now, so matching it would be perfect. To be honest, though, they're probably close enough now.
So you think it's the perfect time to get the game now since all the updates?
