Gaming's most groomed executive Toshihiro Nagoshi will be smiling today, as Yakuza Zero β the latest entry in his soap opera-like series β has surpassed 500,000 units in Japan. The game's only three months old so this is a particularly impressive feat; perhaps it's time we reminded everyone that we'd love a Western release. Please.
Even more impressive is that global sales of the series have now reached 7.5 million units, with Yakuza 5 still set to release on the PlayStation 3 (!!!) sometime this year. This December will mark the franchise's 10th anniversary, so expect another entry that has little chance of being localised to be announced around then.

Come on SEGA, you mad b*stards.
I became a fan of the franchise after they gave 4 for free on PS+, so that move worked out for them
