This year's best worst game is actually starting to get a bit of buzz, which makes us nervous. We've been singing Until Dawn's praises for over a year now, but following that PlayStation Experience demo, it seems like the rest of the media has got on board. Sony and Supermassive Games won't be complaining, of course, as this could end up being a bit of a sleeper hit – especially on sites such as Twitch.
In this brand new gameplay footage, we get a look at just how complex the title's Butterfly Effect is. Much like in a game such as Heavy Rain, the idea here is that the story will adapt depending on your decisions – no matter how subtle. And judging by the PlayStation Access video embedded below, proceedings have the potential to change quite a lot. The question is: will it be able to maintain this level of complexity throughout the entire campaign?

I didn't give two sh*ts about this game because for me it just felt like yet another cinematic Sony exclusive, where you press a button or 3 and watch a movie being played for 8 hours. But this demo here won me over! It looks so campy and they got that incredible horror movie vibe going. I think the Butterfly Effect will be less impressive as it sounds, but we'll probably still see lots of lil tweaks and differences if we replay it, but I noticed that it were just small variations.
This game will probably gain a cult following, but I'm afraid most people will just use YouTube to see all endings and variations. As long as they buy it and play it themselves that's not too bad though.
btw, I did watch the Butterfly effect movie and I think it rocks... :S
Some of those facial animations looked kinda odd, maybe because it's getting into uncanny valley territory. Heard that framerate chugged quite a bit, hopefully that'll be fixed before launch.
I want to play it but think I'm going to wait for reviews first.
I'm very excited but due to money constraints and a really bad release date for me I'll have to wait a little. I have Madden and One Piece that day.
I'm really intrigued but a lot of the characters seem quite unlikeable. Ah well, I might just try and get them all killed for fun.
@adf86 Yea I noticed that too... like the lip sync is really off. Normally not a big deal, but because they are emphasizing facial expressions, and have some really close head shots, it can take you out of the moment. I'm hoping it's because the game isn't finished.
