As per yesterday's leak, Journey is finally coming to PlayStation 4 this month. The indie masterpiece has received a confirmed 21st July release date, along with a brand new trailer.
We're sure the best part for many of you, though, will be that the new-gen port will be cross-buy compatible, meaning that if you bought the game the first time around on PlayStation 3, you'll be able to download the PS4 version for free. Hooray, scarves for everyone.
Are you looking forward to playing this again in 1080p at 60 frames per second, or will this be your first time traversing the sands? Enlighten us in the comments section below.

Can't wait to see some of the PS4 screenshots people share!
My library has a PS3 disc containing Flow, Flower, and Journey as a rental.
Man I cannot wait. I can only imagine how good the surfing segment will look on PS4
Now the game has been out for 3yrs but I feel that they showed too much in that video. The snow was a complete surprise to me in my 1st play through. Perhaps they forgot how many PS4 owners never owned a PS3.
Yes!
So happy my first time with this game will be 1080p 60fps.
Yea I'll definitely get it
This game bored me to tears, but since it'll be free I may as well double my trophies!
@benrawr Heathen! Crank up the speakers, it's worth a single session run through for the soundtrack alone!
@Neolit I also helped be a "champion" for many new players I ran into, but if I have to rerun through the game again to get all my goodies back, I won't mind that much. It's been a long time since I've traversed the Journey and I might be surprised at what I've forgotten. 1080p/60fps BAM!
Can't wait for this one!!!
Really looking forward to this, it was already gorgeous at times, so I'm expecting it to be extra pretty on the new hardware (and I've had a tv upgrade since I last played it).
One thing that is a shame for me though, is that as much as I loved it, the main memory I have of my first playthrough was the moment when (I was living at home at the time), playing in a darkened room, totally absorbed, halfway through the surfing sequence, my mum came barging into the room wanting to talk about something, absolutely ruining the immersion!
