Originally launching on Wii, Wii U, and PC in 2012, Dragon Quest X is the franchise's first foray into the world of online gaming. The massively multiplayer online title never came West, but Square Enix has confirmed that it's jumping to PlayStation 4 at some point in the future.
It's perhaps a move that isn't too surprising, given that Dragon Quest XI is bringing the series back to the side of Sony. Whether we actually ever get to see the release translated into English is another matter entirely, however. Still, the PS4 is region free, so we suppose that if you're really eager, you could always import a copy.
What do you make of this? Would you like to have Dragon Quest X localised on Sony's newest console, or are you not fussed either way? Form a party and take down some slimes in the comments section below.

I would love a localised version of this
now come on sony get DQ 1-9 on PSN or Vita or something
I hope they will localize it, since the WiiU version never crossed the Pacific Ocean...
Was the previous Dragon Quest X pay to play?
@WanderingBullet Yes, I believe it had/has a subscription in Japan.
@ShogunRok Gotcha. If that's the case I don't think the PS4 version will get localized.
Never seen any gameplay of X, was it fun, for those who actually played/watched/experienced it.
@WanderingBullet Why would it requiring a monthly payment keep it from being localized? Final Fantasy Realm Reborn has a monthly fee so does ESO I believe.
Anyway I will at least try this gaming been wanting an MMO every since my computer died and I could no longer play WoW.
Yeah, you can't import it. I mean you can physically import it, you just wouldn't be able to play it...ever.
@Tasuki I don't know. Just feel that Dragon Quest may not not be as popular as the other two you've mentioned.
This is good news, but doubt I'll ever play it due to being a MMO.
