Has your PlayStation 4 been feeling a little unstable of late? Good news, Sony's released a new firmware update for the new-gen format, pledging improvements "during the use of some features". Sorry, there's no word on what those actually are. This is an optional download, though, so we're assuming that it's not an especially big deal.
The update – dubbed v2.57 for those keeping count – weighs in at 245MB, and can be downloaded while your system's in Rest Mode. You can find instructions for that through here. It doesn't include the calendar app, which was rumoured earlier in the week. Surely we're due a proper firmware update soon, though, right?

Sigh, yet another 'stability' update?
Here's hoping it fixed the disc reading issue that's been going around with firmware 2.55.
I wonder when we will get a substantial update.
Ok so do I download this as it's optional. I don't seem as far as I know to be having any problems. Or will it improve anything or maybe break something lol
Need friends online alert and being able to copy and paste messages feature.
Hoping it fixes the issues where it doesn't update the "Friends" online quantity.
