Pull out some party poppers and don your paper hat: Tearaway Unfolded has gone gold. Media Molecule's official Twitter account is flush with pictures of developers swigging champagne, as the PlayStation 4 re-release readies itself for retail. The title's not actually due out until September so it seems that the studio's ahead of schedule – but that's obviously no bad thing.
The game itself is difficult to describe: it's not exactly a port, but it's still massively influenced by the PlayStation Vita release. New mechanics have been sprinkled in to better suit the DualShock 4, while the whole experience has been given a complete visual overhaul. That said, if you liked Iota and Atoi's original outing, chances are you're going to be excreting PVC glue over this update.

Day one!
@Sanquine Me too, loved this game on Vita!
Yeah won't be able to help myself this game was a gem on Vita.
I might hold off until Christmas, as it's one of those Christmasy games IMO, but it's gunna get got regardless
I really hope this gets a chance to shine now, I don't think it needs to sell millions to be profitable but PS4 would benefit from having franchises like this.
Not sure yet if I'll buy it but I do share the sentiment that it's nice to see this game getting a new lease on life. I'm going to keep hoping Gravity Rush will be next. That's another criminally overlooked game.
