Capcom's surprisingly good Resident Evil Revelations 2 will take aim at the PlayStation Vita on 18th August in Europe and North America, where it will launch digitally via the PlayStation Store. The port – handled by Frima Studio – will include all of the main episodes from the console release, in addition to the survival-based The Struggle and stealth-based Little Miss chapters.
Raid Mode will make a return as well, where favourites HUNK and Albert Wesker will be available as playable characters. Seeing as this is launching a little later on the Japanese giant's portable appliance, you'll be getting the throwback map pack and multiple storage expansions for your various weapons and loot, too. You'll also be nabbing a costume pack for good measure.
The game will support co-op via the PlayStation Network, and an ad-hoc multiplayer mode will be added as part of an update a little later down the line. Of course, the big question mark hanging over this will be whether the developer can get it running smoothly on Sony's pocketable platform. The first footage in the trailer looks reasonable enough, but the proof will be in the putrefying pudding, eh?

I really thing that the raid mode will begreat on the go! A must buy for me.
I really hope that this is cross-buy as i brought it digitally on the ps4 and havent played it yet. This would give me a good reason to dust off my vita.
@jaydb1982 I'm pretty sure it won't be. I think they would have said by now.
Such a shame @get2sammy I was just hoping they wold announce something now the release date has been made public. I dont think many people that own it on the PS4 will double dip and purchase it on the vita too so cross-buy wouldnt lose revenue. I know that theres always remote play but its not always as practical when you're out as opposed to having the game downloaded. Guess ill have to pull myself away from Arkham Knight and Driveclub long enough to give Revelations 2 the time it deserves on the PS4.
I feel like they need to add something to entice people into buying this, maybe an additional episode with eugevy or whatever that old dudes name was escaping to his sewer hideout from a russian town or something. I mean this game was out for 6 months on 4 different console already so I'm not sure how many people would have waited.
Bought this on PS4, and gonna rebuy on Vita
Haven't got this yet so will consider a Vita buy for this. Haven't got the time to play it on the PS4.
@Melucine
It's fantastic on a handheld.
When the first one released on 3DS, me and my brother played through the entire RAID mode together, living 50 miles apart .
I'm really glad this game is coming to at least one of the handhelds. Too bad no physical release though...
Would be nice to have a physical release as I'm about close to filling up my 64GB card. This and P4D in back to back months is a nice consolation for an otherwise dry year outside of indies and cross-buys.
@Melucine
Raid mode fit very well with the portable format on the original revelations on 3DS
Still my favorite PS4 game of the year. As long as the port isn't trash like USF IV was, then I'll buy this.
I'll be getting this on my Vita if the reviews are good!!
I have this on ps3, I will get this on Vita too!
If the reviews are good I will pick it up.
