And just like that, it's the weekend. To be honest, your humble host is feeling a bit drained after the excitement – and subsequent late night – of the Shenmue III Kickstarter, so you'll find no witty comments within this drawn out pre-amble. Then again, we exhausted our selection of those about... Oh, two years ago, didn't we?

I'll be punching Greek Gods in the face courtesy of God of War III Remastered this weekend. I wasn't really looking forward to this re-release, but over the course of the past 24 hours I've been reminded what a great game it is. Zeus, I'm coming for you, bruh.

As if putting over 500 hours into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt wasn't enough, I'll be hopping back into the shoes of Geralt over the weekend to see what this latest patch is all about. It's been quite a while since I've been off review duty, so the plan is binge on just about anything that takes my fancy, including The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited and maybe a quick stint of Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires.

This weekend, I'll be trying to catch-up on my episodic gaming by playing the various instalments of Game of Thrones, Tales From The Borderlands, and Life is Strange I've neglected to play in recent months. I have to say, I'm beginning to feel a little apprehensive about the pressure of so many tough decisions, and wonder if by the time Sunday rolls around I'll be a gibbering wreck.

After years and years of delaying, I've decided to finally bite the bullet and buy a PlayStation Vita. Between Persona 4 Golden, which I've wanted to play for years now, and monkeying around with Remote Play, I think that I'm going to have my hands full. I might cave and buy Tearaway, but at this point, I think I just really want the PS4 version.

This is the first time I've discussed a Nintendo game as part of Push Square's weekly feature, but I'm playing Balloon Fight this weekend. The respect and appreciation of gamers in response to the incredibly sad passing of Satoru Iwata has been sincere and heartfelt, so I'll join many others by cherishing one of his games in his memory. I'll play Balloon Trip mostly, but I'll also flutter my way around the main single player mode in his honour, too.

Most of my weekend will be spent flying back to my wonderful homeland of the United States of America, since I've been on vacation in Switzerland and Germany with family for the past two weeks. However, I think I might satiate my PlayStation fix by playing The Swapper or some other title on my neglected Vita. When I get back, though, I am dead set on completing Transistor after finishing The Evil Within a couple of weeks ago. Time to whittle down that backlog!

It'll be all EA Sports Rory Mc-What's-His-Face PGA Tour for me this weekend. My hopes are high – especially for the smooth DualShock 4 controls.

I've finally picked up LEGO Jurassic World, so I'll be spending all weekend collecting studs in Costa Rica. I've already experienced the classic LEGO humour many times before, so I'm looking forward to more of it.
What's on your agenda this weekend, then? Will you be stomping your backlog into oblivion – or have you picked up something new? Freshen up in the comments section below.

Well, Rocket League is fun for me and difficult to drop, so I will continue to play this.
Trophy hunting in Transistor for me.
Finishing up trophies in Rocket League and Danganronpa 2. Maybe throw in some Tales of Symphonia for good measure.
Rocket Leauge and Battlefield 4
Witcher 3, again. Hoping for some Dark Souls 2 and Splatoon later on. I need to get to my 3DS backlog too.
Splatfest. And finishing up Xenoblade Chronicles which almost never ends, even after you finsih it.
I am thinking about starting either Ni No Kuni or Skyrim when it finally does end so maybe I can post a Sony game soon. I probably won't play another Wii/U game until after Christmas.
Witcher 3, when the patch drops. Till then terraria.
Well since I am outta town this weekend it will be something on the 3DS, not sure what at this moment but it will be something on the 3DS no doubt.
I'm glad y'all are still enjoying Rocket League. What a game, eh?
Some more multiplayer in The Last of Us Remastered, and gonna play Left Behind DLC again on hard.
Rocket League, gotta have my daily session.
Styx: Master of Shadows.
And maybe some Geometry Wars 3 on Vita.
Got my platinum on the witcher the other day so a few matches in rocket league and trying to get a ps4 working properly with unity
Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS3)
Splatoon (Wii U)
Trying to keep up with Evo, so I probably won't play anything else this weekend.
More Destiny, trying to grind for those important Vanguard Marks, also throwing some Ultra Street Fighter 4 in there, since the updates have killed most of the bug's on the ps4 and EVO has me in the mood.
Just got a 64gb memory card for my vita, and finished downloading all the ps plus games from the last few years, took about 17 hours, also treated myself to borderlands 2. So going to give my vita some love this weekend
Still playing eso and by the looks of things I will probably be playing this for many weeks and months to come. Couple of my mates have just got it and love it too. So my level 30 toon is helping them untill they catch up. Beautiful game, in between questing and exploring, I'm just chilling out watching the sunset and silly dancing.
FFX-2 and Witcher 3
Playing my first ever dragon age, and doing inquisition on nightmare and finding it very much like dark souls in the fact that its kicking my ass but I'm slowly making progress, currently at lvl 7 so most likely ill be playing this for a long time trying to get the platinum.
Anyone else got the platinum on dragon age inquisition? Hoe did you find nightmare mode? Have I bitten off more than i can chew as a first timer to the series? 😁
Probably the same old same old. Uncharted 2 on hard, some Injustice, and maybe something else thrown in. I've been wanting to play Tekken again but I never really have the urge to do so.
Rocket League marathon with a few friends then back to the Witcher
Batman Arkham Knight (PS4): at the beginning still, but so far the game is awesome, just wish they didn't make you use the batmobile as much as they make you.
Sonic Generations (PS3): haven't played out in forever and feel like some Sonic goodness
God of War Series (PS3): there is no way I'm paying $40 for a game on PS3 that you can get for $7, so instead I bought god of war collection and god of war 3 both for $13 so I'll be playing the ps2, ps3, and psp games this weekend. Plan to play Ascension after playing all these.
Game of Thrones (PS4): on episode 3 and plan to continue that as well. Excellent game so far!!
@marston1983 Noticed your comment and immediately thought of this old forum post

good times. I was trolling a bit then which I don't tend to do, but seriously the games a bit like marmite (although I like marmite)
I'm not playing much due to work, so geometry wars 3 sounds like a good option.
Between work and school I'm getting my time stolen from me, but Rocket League, Driveclub , FIFA, and ESO are in my crosshairs.
@themcnoisy just read the article and made me chuckle, I am only about 10 hours in and I can see that it is nothing new, but after playing 10 years on And off of world of Warcraft there are not too many rpg games that take me by surprise in originality.
I am enjoying the game and originally I bought it for the wife as she completed the first two but she never bothered with this one ,so after about 8 months of it sitting on the shelf and gathering dust I decided to give it a try and to be honest I reminded me very much of the star wars rpg that came out about 15 years ago, think It was the old republic, or something lime that, and I'm enjoying it for what it is 😊
I'll be playing Eso and playing the surprisingly fun rocket league inbetween, I also feel like getting back into Destiny too.
@marston1983 "to be honest I reminded me very much of the star wars rpg that came out about 15 years ago, think It was the old republic"
Knights of the old republic on Xbox - released 2003. Awesome game.
Rocket League. I am deeply in love with it.
@themcnoisy lol that's the one, great game got to the last boss and hit a road block, couldn't kill him, couldn't go back to a previous save, so I was snookered 😞 scarred me for life having to admit defeat after spending so long on it
Grand Theft Auto 5's many interesting and varied side quests have me trophy hunting for the most part, but I might dabble in a little Splatoon here or there.
Somehow my brother convinced me to pop destiny back in and give the two expansions a whirl. I will say that the prison of elders and especially the trials of Osiris are devilishly addictive. At level 34 with all my raid weapons topped out. Somehow hunting for the elusive gjallahorn has kept me entertained. Say what you will about the problems with destiny, but the gun play is absolutely fantastic, and just changing a rifle to a shotgun completely changes your approach to slaughtering enemies.
Finally completed Batman: Arkham Knight - very disappointed in the ending, even the 'true' one. Great game overall but not as great as it could've been due to some utterly baffling decisions by Rocksteady. One of those decisions was locking the true ending behind a freaking fetch quest and not even making it worth the hassle.
The rest of the weekend I'll be playing Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition.
PS3 ftw 😸
I'll be divebombing other players on my Chocobo in FFXIV
@marston1983 The first 10-15 levels can be frustratingly tough but stick with it, it gets a lot easier as you and your allies become more powerful.
@ApostateMage cheers Apostatemage, I am running around with 1 tank and 3 mages as I read inline that they are incredibly powerful. But I get the impression that I need to get to skyhold first to unlock knight enchanter. I have just switched to two tanks and 2 mages to try and control the aggro as my mages were struggling not to get aggro and be two shotted. I am finding the game ad a marathon and not a sprint, slowly but surely 😁
Playing ds2 sotfs again. Cant get enough of this and bloodborne. I wish FROM would remaster demon's souls and ds1 for this gen!
Gosh darn it you made me hungry...
I'm trying to struggle through Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness on gamecube, but it is really quite boring I dunno if I can keep going.
Just moved into my new apartment yesterday and rhe place is a mess. Will probably not touch anything after the match of Rocket League I just played as a reward for 4 hours of organizing this morning.
@hYdeks took a leaf out of your book hydeks, bought god of war 3 off ebay for £3 in total, was gonna buy the hd version but apart from a new lick of paint graphically wise there is no real difference from the ps3 version. 😊 great minds think a like
More FF14.. Level 17 now, the story is starting to open up..seems pretty good..!
@marston1983 guess so lol trust me I would love to play God of War on ps4, but for the price and what they added in; I'll gladly wait for a price cut before getting it.
