Nothing stops the WAYP train – even though this editor's forgetfulness threatens to derail things pretty much every week. Fortunately, we've managed to string up enough scribes to fuel this feature's steam engine right at the last minute, so our flawless record continues for yet another week. Choo-choo!

It's the most wonderful time of the year where there's not a lot launching. Unfortunately, without any reviews to focus my attention, I'll be spending my entire weekend pondering what to play. And as is often the case, by the time that I've decided on Sunday evening, I'll probably have to get ready for work again.

I'm back in my hometown, where I was foolish enough to not bring my PS4. Luckily though, there is a PS3 here. I'm scratching off my backlog, which leads me to... Oh my, Dark Souls II.

This weekend, I'll be cheating on my PS4 as I go full MOBA in the SMITE open beta on Xbox One. Despite the rampant capitalisation of its title, I'm actually enjoying laning some creeps, before popping my ult for a pentakill. Oh God! Kill me now!

I've enjoyed completing the last few hours of Batman: Arkham City, after rebooting an old save game from November 2011. My Batman: Arkham Knight progress is 181 per cent, and I find Knightmare setting on New Story + an accessible difficulty curve, so the comparison has cemented Arkham Knight as my favourite game in the series. Arkham City looks grittier, but it's grubbier and more claustrophobic too, plus Arkham Knight's grapple and glide traversal is noticeably more fluid and responsive.

After my nephew and I decided to pick up the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, a lot of our time has been devoted to that. I just completed Borderlands 2 with him (and it was his first experience of it), so now we're focusing the weekend on tackling True Vault Hunter mode. It's still as amazing for me to replay it now as it was to first experience it back in 2012.

I'll be playing LEGO Jurassic World with my friend over Share Play this week, which I honestly forgot existed. Playing through it, we've already shared a fair amount of jokes involving sausages. [I'm not going to ask – Ed]

With Rocket League stealing much of my gaming attention recently, I figure I'd better give it a break. I'll try and finish Batman: Arkham Knight then charge into Tembo the Badass Elephant. It may be getting mixed reviews, but I love me a good old stylish platformer.
All aboard the WAYP train, then. Entry is free, as long as you tell us what will be keeping you busy this weekend in the comments section below.

Single player I am going to be playing the following
3DS — New Super Mario Bros
With some coworkers tonight I will be playing
PS4 — Rocket League
Dreamcast — Virtua Tennis
PS2 — Twisted Metal Black
Might also sneak in a few hands of Hearthstone while I am at work on my phone.
@Tasuki That's one heck of a multiplayer lineup!
FF14 for me, might stop for a bacon sarnie and let the misses have an hour of TV. I'm such a good boyfriend
What I would like to accomplish today: Pokemon Omega Ruby and a bit of Animal Crossing on 3DS, hopefully Majora's Mask 3D as well. On PS4, Witcher 3 as always, maybe Darks Souls 2 SotFS, and Bloodborne Chalice Dungeons I still haven't gotten to. I probably won't even accomplish half of this, but I will try.
Final Fantasy IX (PSOne): never really played this game back in the day, so I bought it new off eBay and I've been enjoying it alot!
Sonic CD (PS3): Been wanting to play some Sonic lately, and since Sega is stupidly releasing their Sonic games on (Wii U), I decided to play the psn games I have on PS3, since I may never get a ps4 entry any time soon
Please watch the language -Tasuki-
PS4 - Journey and Resogun.
PS3 - Game of Thrones Ep.5 and Last of Us Left Behind.
@JesWood13 there's about 8 months of gaming there, so goodluck with that lol
@hYdeks ah I'd love to be in your shoes again. Enjoy FF9!
@kyleforrester87 oh I will, thanks! So far it's one of my favourite Final Fantasy games!
Arkham City (PS3) - I recently finished Arkham Asylum, and decided to jump straight into the sequel.
Etrian Odyssey II (DS) - Might try to finish up the third stratum.
Splatoon (Wii U) - A new map was released last night. Already got some matches in on it, but I'll probably play it some more today.
Yoshi's New Island (3DS) - I usually only play a few levels at a time, so I probably won't play it much this weekend.
@kyleforrester87 On Pokemon, I just have post game activities left, so I could at least get that done if I actually play it, haha. Then with Bloodborne, I've finished a majority of the dungeons. The rest though, I still have a lot to get through, haha. A little bit at a time I guess.
Last week I beat Uncharted 2 on hard, so I'm currently running though Uncharted 3 for the second time (on Normal, but it's crazy enough to be hard since enemies throw everything but the kitchen sink). When I stop being a lazy good for nothing, I want to hook my PS2 back up so I can finally finish Final Fantasy X, and play the first Jak game, which I also haven't finished because I'm a lazy good for nothing.
I want to play more FIFA 15 and some WWE 2k15 with my sons. But school work most of the weekend 😒
I'm trying to work through my backlog so it will probably be Tales of Xillia or Star Ocean The Last Hope -International-
'played Diablo 3 untill I got lucky and found the last gear item I wanted and now Borderlands 2 (PS4) and Blazblue on my Vita
I got a vita revival after i found lot of gret games for supercheap price at retails.... Weekend of Toukiden, persona 4 and soul sacrifice
@Tasuki those are some fantastic games. You're going to have fun.
I'm mostly playing DOA5 and From Dust on the PS3. I also want to do a bit more of Rain, if I have time.
I'll play some AC: Unity this weekend. I might play some Sherlock Holmes from Plus. I also might pick up Just Cause 2, start Rocket League since I've heard a lot of good stuff about it, or maybe even some COD4 since I got that recently. I guess I'm kinda uncertain this weekend.
A bit of Destiny & God of War 3, the beginning to God of War 3 is still as epic as ever.
Trying to finish up Dragon Age Inquisition, which I neglected this past year. And maybe some ESO or Batman Arkham Knight if I have time.
On 3DS I will continue playing the original Shantae and on Wii U I need to try Splatoon's new map and weapons. On PS3 Uncharted 3 and Killzone 3 with my bro.
May go to a friend's house tomorrow for some couch multiplayer. Probably Smash or MK8.
FINALLY playing The Witcher 3, and I am absolutely loving it, and I've only just even arrived in Velen! I can easily see this being one of my favourite games - the combat is great, the attention to detail is second to none, and it manages to keep things going at a decent pace, whilst maintaining good character building without ever having to spend 3 hours at a time chatting to people to get the most out of it (I'm looking at you Dragon Age).
I've not finished Dragon Age Inquisition yet, but I'm seriously thinking I'll end up trading that in, simply because I think I'm going to find it really difficult to go back to that after playing this!
Sims 2&3 (4 isn't fun lol), Jedi Power Battles, Skyrim, Fallouts, and Oblivion (still finding new things after several years)
@hYdeks The Sonic Wii U games are supposed to be terrible and technically broken, so you're not missing out on anything.
Played loads of games so far this weekend for about 2 trophies altogether Rocket league, Assasins creed Unity, Pro Evo 15, Sonic 3, Wii Bowling (in work) and even managed to watch ghost in the shell. Best of all was Driveclub - Elements DLC. Championship final race. Hands in the air who has finished that? Epic and luckily never have to race It again after finishing 1st.
Apotheon, Mousecraft, and Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth 1. I just felt like I started typing that last title on Friday. Should be fun!
@Jaz007 I didn't mind playing sonic lost world when I got to play alot of it, but I really hate that gamepad for playing games, and yea I heard the other games are horrible, so I'm happy I'm not missing much lol
Battletoads and Double Dragon on Famicom with my 5 year old nephew. Seems that's all he wants to play which I don't mind! Monsters In My Pocket, Contra, Streets Of Rage and Golden Axe will soon follow..
Got 100% completion Knightfall ending on arkham Knight! Got through the emotional roller coaster of Game Of Thrones ep5! So am.actually doing a @get2sammyb and pondering in what to play now! Maybe dust off abit of Diablo 3...
GOW3 re, Old Blood, Handsome Collection
This weekend I'll be playing journey for my first time. Also rocket league, ultra street fighter and hopefully the beta if it works.
Come On people! With just a little over a month we should all be playing every metal gear game at every opportunity haha. If TPP is like PeaceWalker, and most things seem to indicate as much, it'll be awesome. Trying not to platinum every mgs game before Sept 1st
Still playing Destiny, trying to grind out those last couple levels so i have at least 1 LV 34 by the time Taken King Comes out. Also might try to dip into Rocket League to see what all the fuss is about.
Well my multiplayer night was a bust due to my coworker dealing with a sick kid. So instead I played Street Fighter V beta and several hours of Rocket League with my son.
I played "press any button", then I finished reading A God in Ruins and then beat platinum out of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.
I've played a bit of Destiny and a bunch of PS4 and Vita PS plus games and more, quite liked hohokum and rocket league, finished home and finished another play through of hatoful boyfriend.
@SteveButler2210 you should finish both, I completed pretty much all the side missions in DA, I loved it. I'd say Witcher is on a par but I couldn't force myself to complete every side mission, especially with all the island in ard skellig.
I'm only on this article because of the steam train click-bait.
@ShadowofSparta I did that last year - didn't platinum any of them mind you but completed every game in the series over the summer
@itsgood2slide I was wondering when train simulator and transport tycoon were coming out for ps4 as well. Lol @Tasuki how was sf5?
Finished The Order: 1886 which was much better than expected. Not sure why it got so slated to be honest!
Started Sleeping Dogs...
@themcnoisy hey man, saw you mentioning a few times you play Driveclub. Are you in an active club? I still like to do a few challenges every now and then, so add me on PSN if you want
PSN: Dongel
@Flurpsel Wicked thanks dude will send a friend request over. If you collect trophies we can shoot for the gold solo challenge trophy. Mine is mc_noisy
@kyleforrester87 If you're doing that all again this year kyle, I Big Boss salute you my friend.
