Exploration simulation The Vanishing of Ethan Carter will appear on the PlayStation 4 next week, according to a European PlayStation Store pre-order page. The title is due out on 15th July in the Old World, and will presumably arrive a day earlier in North America. It'll retail for the slightly unconventional price of £13.94.
For those out of the loop, this tense title has been re-built for Sony's new-gen box, employing Unreal Engine 4 technology. The game's primarily a detective adventure, in which you play as Paul Prospero, a police officer with paranormal abilities. Are you eager to take the trip to Red Creek Valley? I won't pay a penny over £13.93!!
Random thought, but have you guys thought of putting in US dollar prices in your articles? I'm a US reader who loves you guys at Push Square. I generally know the conversion but still reading it would be great.
Huh, well that came out of nowhere! Been looking forward to this since it was announced at last year's E3, but hadn't heard a thing about it since.
This look great. Reminds me of a mix of Myst combined with Heavy Rain. As I'm currently obsessed with Elder Scrolls OnLine I'll probably download it and play when I've had enough of killing things with magic and following spirits through Dwemer caves
@bloodhound89 We always try to. The issue here, as mentioned in the article, is that there's no information on the US release date/price yet. Will update as soon as I know something, though.
been VERY anxiously waiting for this, ive had a feeling this game was almost made for me! SO excited!!!
This normally would be right up my ally but after playing Ether One on ps4 im a bit worried about this game and Vanishing of Ethan. Worried that there wont be much to do but walk around and press X.
It might be short but it's different, gorgeous, moody, mental n memorable. And cheap. Struggling here not to drop any sort of spoiler... so I'm away
I'm definitely up for playing this. I've had my eye on it for quite some time since I like the mysterious premise and puzzle-solving nature of the game. Overall, I think it was well-received when it came out on PC, so since we'll be getting a UE4 overhaul, I'm up for it. Will definitely be waiting to see the reviewer's thoughts on how it transitions to the PS4!
