Ah, quirky console skins. Dressing your favourite home system up with a brand new decal can provide a nice change of pace, and can arguably add some spice to your room's aesthetics. Or, you know, you might just be really sick of looking at your plain old PlayStation 4. Whatever the reason for a makeover, though, it's well worth checking out these stylish designs from artist Dominic Low, who's applied sneaker box themes to Sony's new-gen machine.
With Adidas, Nike, and New Balance designs, sports fans are bound to recognise each brand. The skins themselves are nice and colourful, and the minimalist approach works really well, but we suppose that your enjoyment is all going to come down to whether or not you're comfortable with a particular brand worming its way into your subconscious mind. Speaking of which, we're really in the mood to buy some new sneakers.
What do you think? Are you a fan, or would you prefer something a little less mundane? Tie your laces in the comments section below.

You have no idea how much I want the Adidas one.
A little more like blatant that subconscious, no? I mean they even have the names on them, you can't get much more blatant than that. If they were just the colors maybe, but heck even the swoosh is kind of blatant marketing by Nike now.
I do like them though, very Nintendo-y, like Mario Kart.
@rjejr I was going more along the lines of constantly having them in your field of view as you sit playing games. Seeping into your mind day after day until you start having dreams about giant Adidas logos trying to crush you.
It does look more like a shoes box than a game system.
I like. The Adidas originals one is great
@ShogunRok - Oh, I know what you were getting at, subliminal advertising was all the rage back in the 70's, when product placement was much more subtle, now product placement is so in your face, and these are so in your face, I don't see anything subconscious about it.
subliminal - below the threshold of sensation or consciousness, not strong enough to be recognized

Maybe if you removed the "sub" from the title?
@get2sammyb Here Here! I like Adidas, and I seriously went gaga when I saw that PS4. Me want.
@rjejr Yeah, fair enough. I think it's just the fact that people will buy these because they like the design, and after all, it is quite a cool, poppy design concept, but at the end of the day, you're branding something that you see probably every day with a company logo. Part of me just finds that quite funny!
It's actually NY-KAY (with the NY from fun-ny and KAY as in o-kay)
@ShogunRok - As I said before I really like the designs, even took a double take to see if it was a PS4 or a shoe box made to look like a PS4, but not sure if I would want such blatant advertising for a sneaker in my living room. Though in the late 70's I probably would have bought a red PS4 w/ this plastered on the side.
@Boerewors ???
@THEundying27
They say: is it Nike or is it Nikey, no one knows... It's actually neither one of them.
