F1 2015 had enough fuel in its tank to overtake Batman: Arkham Knight this week, as the Codemasters developed racer has soared to the summit of the UK sales charts. The first PlayStation 4 adaptation of the iconic motorsport improved upon the sales of its previous gen predecessor by a whopping 367 per cent – though it's worth noting that F1 2014 was phoned in in almost every possible way.
As is becoming common now in Britain, the PlayStation 4 version of the game outsold its Xbox One adversary. Meanwhile, Rocksteady Studios' superhero sequel parked up in second in the all formats list, while LEGO Jurassic World, The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, and the evergreen Grand Theft Auto V rounded out the top five.
The Witcher III: Wild Hunt finished up in sixth, while Minecraft, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and Destiny made up the remainder of the best sellers. We've included the full top ten for your perusal pleasure below. The question is: what have you been flashing your cash at of late? Hopefully that makes code masters enough money to make the game even better next year
I'd like Codemasters to take some extra time for the next one, go for glory, add all the features. I want warm up laps, safety cars, commentary, co-op and a release at the beginning of a season so I can live my virtual F1 fantasies on the off weekends (the missus would love that). I don't think I'm asking for too much.
Online mode is dead , Codemasters fix this s...
Remember that week that Splatoon was there?
That aside, I'm actually pretty surprised to see F1 there. I don't know a single person that's even remotely interested in the real sport, even the two car nut friends I have. I haven't seen any online hype for it or encountered anyone mentioning it offline either.
I pre-ordered this, but not had a decent chance to get into it. Looking forward to some 2 hour races
@Matroska Despite your vast survey ( ) , F1 is alive and well here. Even without a top driver, British fans are core supporters, nearly always selling out at Silverstone. With Lewis at the top of his game, and in a top team, it's very popular at the moment. Hence the top spot in the sales.
