PlayStation 4 spook-'em-up Until Dawn is shadowing Tearaway Unfolded to a manufacturing facility, as developer Supermassive Games has confirmed that the teen horror has gone gold. The story-driven adventure – described by yours truly as PlayStation's next best worst game – sees you take control of a roster of randy teenagers, who are being pursued by a murderous member of Slipknot.
"The title manages to fuse teenage angst with a real grim atmosphere, and despite the silly dialogue, we still found ourselves longing to know more about each character," we wrote in a first impressions piece last year. "This is a game that seems to understand exactly what it is: dark, divisive, and really, really dumb." Look out for a review later this month.

So much hype!
@get2sammyb - I feel like you have been reporting on this game since the beginning of time. It's hard to believe this "PS3 Move" game is finally coming out...
Is this like the walking dead games where you just press for different situations or do you actually control it like joel in the last of us?
@Splat This is the oldest article I can find: https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2012/08/oh_sonys_also_trademarked_until_dawn_again
But I swear there are older articles about the 'flashlight game' that was included in an old PlayStation Move demo reel.
@deathvalleydemon Well, you walk around like Joel in The Walking Dead games, too. It's a lot like The Walking Dead or Life Is Strange, but it's not just QTEs - there is an exploration element.
Should be a solid game if it has significant branching paths and the framerate is sorted, was chugging in preview builds.
@deathvalleydemon I think its actually closer to Heavy Rain & Beyond Two Souls.
@WARDIE @deathvalleydemon yea Wardie is right from everything I read. Basically think heavy rain meets b rate horror movie.
I'm really hoping this is as great as I want it to be!
Looking forward to this game! Especially when Peter Stormare from my home country Sweden is in it.
This better have some sweet horror kills, I want it to be like friday the thirteenth 2 not an embarrassing waste of time like jason X.
Thanks for the replies guys, from the sound of it I'll be waitin till this is about 15-20 quid. Sounds like one big interactive cut scene....
I'm fairly sure I'd enjoy this game, but, the prices for the game £40-50 is ridiculous IMO, I highly doubt there will be any DLC support or anything for this game either, so I'd imagine it will be another "Order 1886" in terms of value for money.
Would love to play it at launch, but, will try and hold out and wait until it's a more sensible price.
@CliffordB Well actually, Until Dawn is 9 hours long, has more than 30 ending and each playthrough can be drastically different depending on your choices. If you die, there's no restart. That character is now permanently dead and the butterfly effect system adjusts the whole story. Basically everyone can die.
@Rorimor Well, I guess I'll find out now as I've just pre-ordered it, I'm sure I'll have fun with the game however long it lasts, just looks like my kind of game, already looking forward to getting stuck into it.
