It's been mentioned once or twice before, but now it's been confirmed by director Hajime Tabata: Final Fantasy XV will be getting a simultaneous worldwide release when it eventually launches. In other words, we won't be waiting months for it to hit Western store shelves after it comes out in Japan.
"This may be something that we are little bit embarrassed to talk about, but really, this is the first time that we've done a packaged, standalone Final Fantasy game with a simultaneous global launch," Tabata told GameSpot.
Supposedly releasing in 2016, it's at least somewhat comforting to know that we won't potentially have to wait even longer to get the game in English. If only this was the case with all Japanese projects, eh?

It'll come out one day....one day.
@MakeLoveNotWars no it won't, SE are gonna pull a Silent Hills PT and dump it... Anyway, by worldwide they mean EU, Japan and US, all others excluded/delayed etc.
Of course it will be a simultaneous release, who ever heard of hell freezing over 1 section at a time?
Well thats a plus i guess. Now if only its good, comes out on time, and reignites my love for ff that more or less died after x.

Get the old team back - Square are a laughing stock. Spending too long on camping bags and mobile phones to understand the essence of the series.
I will have Xenoblade X beaten twice by the time this comes.
After taking forever it would be absurd if they still want more time for localization.
All this mean is that the release date will get pushed back even further now.
I look forward to playing it eventually though.
