Sony may not have a tentpole exclusive to hang its figurative hat on this holiday, but it has Star Wars instead. Even if it hasn't been announced yet, we all know that there's going to be a Star Wars: Battlefront bundle this Christmas, but while it bides its time before revealing that, it has prepared a special package for Disney Infinity 3.0.
Available to pre-order now from Amazon.de in Germany, the set includes a 500GB console, a copy of Disney's latest toys-to-life title, three figures (Leila, Luke, and the PlayStation exclusive Boba Fett), and various playset bits and pieces. The package will launch on 27th August, and will boast the revised PS4 hardware model, which is a little lighter than its predecessor.
This bundle's probably not going to set the sales charts alight, but it's interesting to see Sony associate itself so closely with Star Wars so early. Indeed, when the enthusiasm for the next movie hits hyperdrive, this is a move that's probably going to pay off. Well, especially when that inevitable Storm Trooper-themed system drops just before Christmas, eh?

North American release?
Such a shame its not 1TB...500GB isn't enough, not even for kids.
@dok5555555 Haven't heard anything, sadly.
@get2sammyb Storm Trooper themed? I was thinking more Capt Phasma themed with a Silver PS4 with red accents.
@AyeHaley
Even 1 TB is pushing with the file sizes of games today. You need at least 2 TB and even that probably will only last a few years before needing an upgrade to more memory.
@Gamer83 Well even with a big game like TW3, you could have about 12 games of that size installed at once. I don't think many people are going to play 12 games at once, let alone 12 massive ones like that. It's just a case of deleting one you're not playing and then installing it from disc again when you need to. I think the problem arises with then having to download the patches again. Shame you can't back them up to a USB stick.
@Matroska
To be honest, in my experience, the PS4 moves fast enough that I don't mind deleting games I'm not playing and re-installing later on if I ever want to go back. It's more of an issue on Xbox One, but fortunately MS allows you to use external hard drives (I'm not a fan of opening up the console and replacing internal ones, even if it's a fairly easy process like with PS4).
An R2D2 themed ps4 would be amazing
May the PS4s be with you.
Come on.
@Gamer83 It's alowed by Sony and so easy its 1 and 1 screw. You cant much easier im not trying to talk you down but come on.......
@Matroska I think you are right on that kids will be playing 1 to maybe 3 games at a time. At least when i was young i finished mario and the went on to metriod and ofcourse after that Mariokart and Donkey Kong that where some times. When you are young you are so much easier amused i miss those days.
Choooo Chooo here comes the Starwars money Train......lol
@Flaming_Kaiser
I acknowledged it's easy, I'm still not comfortable opening the system. You're fine with it, good for you. I'd rather have the option for external hard drives like Xbox One.
Wait, this looks like the new PS4 with decreased weight and power consumption. I'm going to wait for reviews.
So no one noticed Leia's name is misspelled in the text? Guess no one around here is big on Star Wars.
@sinalefa I didn't want to point it out. I was thinking maybe Eric Clapton had guest written the post or something.
