We know that Kingdom Hearts III is already tangled up with, er, Tangled – but the forthcoming sequel will also feature a Big Hero 6 storyline, set after the events of the movie. The announcement was made during the D23 Expo this weekend, and confirmed that you'll be able to explore the film's fictional setting of San Fransokyo – a blend of San Francisco and Tokyo, obvs – while teaming up with characters such as Hiro and Baymax.
A bit of a spoiler, but the game will see Sora and the abovementioned stars battling a dark version of Baymax, built from the suit that was left in the void during the conclusion of the blockbuster movie. There's an announcement video featuring Disney producer Roy Conli below, but sadly there's no gameplay footage or a release date. We're sure that it'll be out by at least 2056, though, so you just sit tight.

@Matroska
I don't like it. I'm not sure about KH mixing with a lot of these newer disney movies.
@Jaz007 Hey, it's all relative. Tarzan was in the first KH and that seems like a "recent" Disney film to me since I was about 16 when it came out so it was after my parents would take me to see Disney films at the cinema. I'm sure to my dad, Aladdin and The Lion King are "modern" Disney as well.
Anyway, as Sammy pointed out, by the time KH3 comes out, Big Hero 6 will be an old, old vintage movie that only 5 people on Earth remember seeing at the cinema.
@Matroska
Ah, you're cracking me up today!
I think big hero 6 is a great addition. But I think i stand with everyone watching who said - wait...that was it?
I think this sort of thing was always on the cards since the inclusion of Tron in KH2. I'm not exactly against it per se, but I do think the other crossovers fit more naturally with the more fantasy leanings of KH.
I've not seen Big Hero 6 yet, so can't comment on how well I think this in particular will fit. What I will say though, is that if they do what some people have predicted they will and throw a Star Wars crossover in there, I will not be impressed. I don't think that would work remotely well at all, and it would be nothing more than a ploy to bring in a bit more cash.
Hero 6 is a Disney film Kingdom Hearts has Disney characters, why wouldn't it fit?
It actually sounds interesting. Loved the movie and Sora is a skinny boy like Hiro.
When did Xehanort get glasses?
@get2sammyb Thanks alot for this amazing KH3 update.
Now we just need Frozen, Toy Story, and Wreck-It Ralph worlds.
Maybe also Monsters Inc., Cars, and Brave Worlds.
@ToddlerNaruto Frozen will probably be announced at some point. Given how big the movie got, it's practically a shoo-in.
So the next thing will be a Frozen world that will play like The Little Mermaid's in KH2... MUSICAL TIME!
@irken004 When he went to Square Enix to convince them to put Lightning into KH3 alongside other infinitely more important FF characters and was blinded by the light.
Day 1. Well unless it's a PS5 launch title then it has to wait 2 years until I buy 1.
Should look great in 4k though. I hope they give us a 6 months heads up so I can play the last 2 boxsets. Are they on PS4 yet in 1 really expensive bundle?
@DerMeister You'd think so...I just really hope they give us Toy Story, Wreck-It Ralph, and Monsters Inc. worlds though.
I am probably the only one that wants marvel, star wars and pixar to be added to KH3 too. big hero 6 is kind of marvel because it's based on the marvel comic with the same name.
but I think because it's a crossover between square enix and disney they should fully use disney.
also it is stated by the developers that they want marvel en star wars in KH3 themselves but they have to deal with deals like the deal between disney and EA about star wars. the reason that they want both marvel and star wars to be included is that it would give the game more variety, with more different themes and world.
