The Premier League season is back underway, so that means that this author will be spending the next ten or so months composing WAYP with half an eye on the BBC text updates. Of course, this article isn't about football, but the PlayStation games that will be keeping you company all weekend. Here's what our team are up to.

No kidding, it looks like I'll be playing Goat Simulator. My love of simulation games is well known at Push Square Towers, but I'm actually not sure what to expect from this one. You'll be able to find out if I think it's the GoaT in our review next week.

This weekend I'll be fighting for my life in Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment. It's taken some time to wrap my head around its various systems, but all in all, it seems like a pretty enjoyable role-playing game with a few neat features. If all goes to plan, I'll have a review for you lot in the very near future.

No gaming for me this weekend, I'm afraid. I'm headed back to Mississippi after having spent all of July with my family and friends in North Carolina. But, since I have about $600 to blow on whatever I want, I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up buying some games along the way. In fact, I've been teasing the idea of finally picking up a PlayStation Vita as of late.

This weekend I'll be putting a bit more time into Abyss Odyssey: Extended Dream Edition so I can get down to putting the proverbial pen to paper for my review. In other news, I'll be continuing to act Godlike in the Smite open beta, as I put far too much time into this enjoyable MOBA.

During EA's Gamescom 2015 press conference, when Martin Sahlin explained that "Unravel is a game about not giving up, about pushing on, even though things might seem a bit hard", I was reminded of rushing towards repeated grisly deaths while playing Limbo in 2011. Perhaps a more careful and considered approach is advisable when I return to Limbo, since it's the latest addition to my Instant Game Collection on the PS4.

This weekend I'm aiming to achieve my Platinum Trophy for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. I only have to nab three more Trophies for Exo Survival and that Platinum will be mine. I'm also planning on playing some more Rocket League with buddies – such an awesome game.

This weekend I am going to see what all of the recent patches have done to improve The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and I live in hope of finding someone to co-op the final couple of Chalice Dungeons in Bloodborne with, as that's a Platinum that I'd very much like to add to the shiny Rocket League one that I bagged last week.

This weekend I'll be playing FIFA 15 in order to gear up for the return of the Premier League, playing through a season in Career mode as Liverpool with all of their new signings. Let's hope my so far good results come true. [No chance, Sam – Ed]

After getting the Platinum Trophy in The LEGO Move Videogame on the PS4 last weekend, I've been playing the LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham in the search of yet another Platinum Trophy. Maybe once I've finished that I'll move on to the likes of LEGO The Hobbit, LEGO Jurassic World, and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes – that should hold me down for a few weekends to come.
What will be keeping you busy this weekend? Are you planning to dive into your backlog, or do you have something new that you'd like to try? Get down and dirty in the comments section below.

Just playing 30-45 minutes of Destiny then I'm thinking about a second Bloodborne run. Just treading water till MGS5, really..
@fit6958 funny, I just got the platinum for lego jurassic world and just started lego star wars 3 and was planning to afterwards move on to lego harry potter 4-7, pirates, lord of the rings and the other lego games I haven't got the shiny platinum trophy for since I just bought all lego games with a trophy list I didn't own yet. (I've got 9 platinum trophies from wich 6 are lego games. the only one I miss on ps4 is lego marvel) I really thought I was the only one that both enjoyed lego games and tried to plat them all.
I decided to get fifa off the store for £16 and I did say I wasn't going to buy it until there was enough changes, but I'm addicted to ultimate team again...Other than that I'll be watching Liverpool (hopefully) beat Stoke.
I might play J Stars Victory on PS3, but I will mostly be on the Xbox One playing Rare Replay, Killer Instinct and Dead or Alive 5 LR.
@TropicThndrQuote You're right
On holiday so vita only, playing some borderlands and wipeout mainly, just recently discovered I can download the HD and fury pack to wipeout 2048. That I got as my free game on the ps3 giveaway afterthought hacking.
Old blood, ESO, and possibly galak-z. On a side note, can anyone give me the run down on metro redux? Is it strictly fps? How does it play and such? Thx guys!
I'll be playing Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishment on PS3 since it was free on Plus. It's good so far. I like how it just focuses on the detective side of things. It's funny how the movies have a bunch of action, while the games don't. I'll also be playing DMC3 HD, with a possibility of some AC: Unity as well.
Finally getting around to the Dragon Age Inquisition DLC.
@gingerfrog woah woah woah... Wipeout hd wow I need to know what to do ive got 2048 for the vita - much prefer 2097 and wip3out as I know the tracks like the back of my hand ✋ how do I get hd is it on vita? Is it the first game from the ps1? Sorry I'm super happy had no idea about that.
@get2sammyb no doubt you will like it, its better for lets plays and is great fun for a few hours. But the gimmick gets old quick. As a game its laugh out loud but pretty hollow.
I'm gonna play another few levels of sound shapes - the editor could be better and its really difficult to use being brought up on reason by propellerhead and music maker 2014 on the pc and before that music by codemasters which was unbelievable.
will be playing the following this weekend
Single Player
Jade Empire --Xbox Really enjoying this one alot. I think I might even enjoy this one more then KotOR.
New Super Mario Bros — DS Getting close to finishing this one hopefully this weekend maybe??
Virtua Tennis — Dreamcast Must unlock more courts and people.
Multiplayer
Battle Fantasia — Xbox 360 Picked this up this week on sale and I have to admit it's a really good fighting game. Perfect for multiplayer night.
Street Fighter II Special Champion Edition — Sega Genesis Should be getting this in the mail today. Finally I don't need to use shoulder buttons for playing Street Fighter II.
Rocket League — PS4 Probably the most requested multiplayer game right now from my friends lol
Final Fantasy IX (PSONE): on disc 3, and really loving this game!
Guacamelee STCE (PS4): got it in the NA summer sale week 1 and love re- playing this game.
Sonic Generations (PS3): will be trying to get a platinum in this game.
Playing a bit of Destiny & Arkham knight, now I know legendary (Year 1) weapons you'll still be able to use in certain areas in The Taken King, I'll leveling up my Fatebringer. Also for people that don't know, your light level will still be very relevant in The Taken King. Watch IGN interview with Deej a lot of info, on The Taken King.
@darkswabber I love the lego games and I'm horribly addicted to get the plat on them. So far Batman 2 on PS3 & Jurassic World, Marvel, Batman 3 & Hobbit on ps4. Almost halfway through Potter final years.
EU Splatfest is starting soon so I'll be playing Splatoon for a few hours then maybe do the new dlc quest for MH4U tomorrow and see what new weapons and armour can be unlocked.
@darkswabber The Lego games have a formula that is both fun and enjoyable! I actually borrowed the Lego movie video game off my brother and enjoyed it so much I'm now going to play some other Lego titles. They are also great for multiplayer, it means I can play with my sister and earn a platinum trophy at the same time, it's a win win!
I just had pseudo-nightmares involving the robots from Five Nights at Freddy's. Might just play with my kitten and relax today!
For me it will be Yugioh Legacy of the duelist. This is the most addictive game ever. If I can pry myself away from dueling the SAO or Arkham Knight are possible options.
Splatfest. Mostly finished up Xenoblade Chronicles so now it's time to decide what to start next. Maybe Metroid: Other M.
A buddy has actually roped me and my girlfriend along to marathon the Five Nights at Freddy's series this weekend. I've seen Markiplier's videos so I know what to expect, but horror games were never my forte. Sleep with one eye, I will.
Finished God of War 3, so I'll be spending my time with Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii), Bastion (PS4) and Sound Shapes (PS4)
killzone SF , Infamous SS , Driveclub ps plus edition , TLOU Remastered .
thanks
Deadpool
Lara Croft Temple of Osiris
OlliOlli 2
Uncharted 3
The Walking Dead
Well I picked up White Night on sale this week so iv got to start that and I have yet to start the Batgirl dlc in Arkham Knight though I did play the Red Hood "story pack", took me all of 19 mins to play through DO NOT BUY IT.
I finally tried The Swapper last night, and played for an hour haha. It's really atmospheric and has neat puzzles. Besides that, I've been playing MGS5: Ground Zeros over and over again, trying different approaches to the main mission, haha.
@gp993 wow, all first-party..
Gave up on Rogue Legacy after a week pounding away at it. Bravely default and Destiny for me.
The witcher 3 and Galak Z, which is really amazing...
PS4 - Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
Xbox One - Rare Replay
X1: Rare Replay
Wii U: Splatoon (Splatfest and new friend team battles update)
PS4: [nothing]
3DS: Etrian Odyssey Untold 2- The Fafnir Knight
Vita: [nothing]
PS3 - Arkham City
Wii U - Splatoon, Metroid Fusion (virtual console)
DS - Etrian Odyssey 2
3DS - Yoshi's New Island
Mostly the same stuff I was playing last weekend.
I was playing Splatoon on Wii U, the GameCube version on The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on Wii and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops on PSP.
However, Rare Replay arrived today and nostalgia kicked in big time, so I'll play Banjo-Kazooie for the rest of the weekend.
Lost dimensions, Warframe, and NBA 2K15
A Realm Reborn as always.
I'm also going to start a pro David playthrough of Life Is Strange on a second save slot.
@Vegeta11 my plats for lego are at the moment the lego movie, lego jurassic world, lego batman 3 and lego the hobbit on ps4, lego harry potter 4-7 on my vita and lego harry potter 1-4 on my ps3.
Finishing up Sleeping Dogs then it's either Battlefield Hardline, Bloodborne, LBP3, CoD: AW, Lords of the Fallen, Driveclub, Yoshi's Wooly World or Never Alone. Can't decide!
@Cleric20 @arnoldlayne83 how are you finding The Witcher 3 post patch? I've already outlined in detail what's happening on the article about the patch, so I won't do a major double post here, but I'm interested to see how people get on as personally I've found performance has taken a major hit!
I honestly don t see a big difference. But i definitely love the new moveset. I found the original one too clunky...
@themcnoisy
After I bought my 64gb card I went through my download history on my vita and it was there. A good bonus for me to any extra wipeout is always welcome, as I said I'd got the HD and fury on the ps3 after the hacking
I'm going to be the nerdy odd one out here lol, still solely playing eso. Although I'm interested in Mad Max coming out next. Not much talk of it anywhere and haven't seen nothing on push square oddly.
@gingerfrog got you - I don't own a ps3
Mirrors Edge & a little Rocket League .
Continuing my first ever playthrough of Final Fantasy X HD Remaster. I found the game to be really slow in the opening hours, but I'm really enjoying it now that I have a chance to grind!
@XFsWorld
because most of times i play 1st party games with consoles and 3rd party games with pc .
thanks again
