PAX Prime will provide a fleeting distraction this weekend, but the Tokyo Game Show is the next big gaming convention in our calendar. And a month prior to the Japanese event opening its doors, Square Enix has announced some of the titles that it'll be showing on the hall floor: Dragon Quest Builders, Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, and Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness.
Of course, that's not all that the mega publisher will have to show, as it's also promised that other properties will put in an appearance via trailers and videos. Obviously, we're crossing our fingers for more on Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy XV, but here's hoping that we get a better look at Kingdom Hearts III, NieR New Project, Dragon Quest XI, and Project Setsuna, too. In fact, looking at that list, you can't say that Square Enix isn't trying to push the PS4 in Japan.

Bit of a shame that the DQ and FF titles being given top billing aren't actually the ones most people want to hear about. I appreciate it's early days for DQ XI, so wasn't reeeeaaally expecting much there. But with them still promising a release next year, it would have been encouraging to see FFXV take pride of place over Heavensward.
PAX is small stuff compared to TGS, so I was never expecting much there. But if they draw another blank at TGS, after the terrible showing at GC, that will be the last straw.
I dunno. I expect we'll at least see a trailer we've already seen before for FFXV.
Just need Atlus to say that Persona 5's coming out this year to West during TGS 2015. Would love to see more of DQXI's gameplay as well.
So many games to buy this year....I need a better paying job...
@WanderingBullet ditto. Just finishing up the true ending on Golden and would love to be able to roll right into 5 this year!
@NomNom Same here. I'm only getting paid $250 every two weeks, and half of each paycheck is always put into a untouchable savings account.
@T7L3RB Nice!
