Deadpool was never a particularly good game to begin with, but with a new movie on the horizon, Activision clearly sees value in re-releasing the ageing PlayStation 3 title on the PlayStation 4 – and its $49.99 asking price is the punch line. The title will be available on Sony's new-gen system from 17th November, according to a tweet by US retailer GameStop.
For those out of the loop, the hack-'n'-slasher was originally developed by High Moon Studios, and launched on last-gen consoles back in 2013. Despite this, it recently arrived on the PlayStation Store as a digital download, a sign that the publisher had reclaimed the rights to the property. We should have seen this coming, shouldn't we?

Dang I was one of the 6 people that asked for this. Wish I waited, bought this on PS3 on sale about a month ago.
HAHAHAHA $49.99.
You're priceless, Activision. Emu farm!
I actually did have interest in this game being ported to the PS4. I read that the game is not great but it IS fun. Then they lost the rights and the game vanished. When it reappeared recently on Steam I figured it would pop up on the PS4 eventually, but fifty bucks?? Even the people who liked the game say it's a three star affair at best. When will companies stop pricing themselves out of sales?? Twenty bucks. That's what they should be asking for this.
Not worth $50, go for it at $30.
I enjoyed the game but as a rental. Maybe once it hits the bargin bins or on sale on the PSN store.
In before not another remaster comments
Pass interference. They just won't let us pass up this game will they. Shove it in our faces on the new system lol.
Gosh dang I'm all for remasters when it's a worthy title but they're bringing all kinds of garbage and mediocre crap now.
Best headline ever Sammy. I'm remembering that one. One the news though, games too vulgar for me one way or another, but that $50 price is insane. Unless it's a total overhaul, this is gonna bomb. $50 is probably too much to ask for one of the greatest games of last-gen, let alone this.
only funny thing would be if the first trophy that puts out is "you bought me again" and the platinum is "Now you can sell me again"
I actually played a little of the original release and liked it, but not for the price they want it for! $29.99 would have been the most I payed for this
I actually want to play this, but I'd rather get it on PS3.
@ryanorly worth playing of you're a fan, but don't expect genre defying gameplay. Honestly I'd say pick it up preownened for the ps3 if possible.
Didn't actually think it was that bad myset, but I if it isn't Sony remastering it doesn't get as much of a free pass plus we all know it won't stay at $50 for long.
probably trying to cash in on the hype around the Deadpool movie
I absolutely loved Deadpool, but $50 is too much. $30 max.
Just like asking 40 for Prototype. Go F yourself, Activision.
I got the plat on this when it was released on PS3 but zero interest in doing this again. Fun ride if you never played it though. Some really funny moments.
@Jazzer94 Um its Activision, it will stay $50 for a while
I'll watch the cutscenes on youtube, thanks though.
I'd re-play this on PS4, but would wait until it was a $20 bargain bin deal.
@XFsWorld 2-3 months after release and it will be in the $30 range which isn't that long and 6 or so months it will be like $20.
@Jazzer94 I doubt it, even Spider Man stayed high for a long time
