Remember last week when Sony seemed to suggest that the PlayStation 4's price was dropping in the UK? Well, it's not. The manufacturer told Eurogamer.net that its Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection packages – which will cost £299.99 for a 500GB model, and £329.99 for a 1TB edition – are taking advantage of a promotional price point.
"We would like to clarify that the pricing of the Uncharted PS4 bundles is actually a promotional price that will be available across a selection of retailers for a limited time only," a spokesperson said. The system's already been reduced across Asia, with Europe and North America surely to follow next. This may not be official yet, then, but we still reckon that a global reduction is on the way.

Does that bring my purchase forward? I have no idea. Sony make up your bloody minds and stop farting about like you normally do. I aint got much money so I'd like some commitment so I don't spend more than necessary.
GAME currently have 1TB PS4's with Fifa 16 for just £300, £310 if you add Driveclub too or £325 with Mad Max
So I'm guessing this means we won't be seeing a price drop in the states either. At this point, I'm not even sure if they will do promotional pricing here. It's sad to hear because a price drop would have influenced me to get one this holiday season. I guess I'll just wait until next year when I have more money.
@wiggleronacid - "I guess I'll just wait until next year when I have more money"
And Uncharted 4 and FF15 are out. OK, that last one is wishful thinking, bu tI feel pretty good about U4, after maybe 1 more release date delay into June.
I seen a ps4 with mgs v un Tesco for £279.99 if you don't jump on that your either crazy, stupid or Amish.
@rjejr Yep, by the time I get mine there will be plenty more games available. And you're right, you can never be too sure when games will release even when they have a release date. I mean, Nintendo just delayed Star Fox Zero two months before its big holiday release.
@wiggleronacid @rjejr Same here. This is why I'm waiting until Black Friday 2016 to own a PS4.
Mainly because hopefully even the 1TB model will be $300 New by then, even if it's just a limited time deal.
Not shocking. Outside of Japan, PS4 is actually selling, I don't expect a price drop until next September at the earliest unless European and North American sales fall off a cliff.
They'll be loads of deals in the UK before Christmas. Probably £300 with three games like last year.
