And breathe again. Push Square Towers has been a hive of activity this week, with TGS 2015 in full swing. But while we've been enjoying bringing you all of the big news from Tokyo, we are looking forward to a breather this weekend – and a video game or two. As has become a tradition in these parts, here's what we're playing right now.

I'm playing a game called Mop Up the Remaining News from TGS 2015. It's not the most riveting release – mechanics include browsing the web, stringing together sentences, and cropping pictures – but I tend to enjoy it all the same.

Destiny's got me snagged. No escape - I even think about it when I'm not playing it. I've got loot fever really bad, and the only cure is to get together with the Push Square community and kick some arse this weekend.

I can remember a time when I used to play more than one game a week. I wandered through a buffet of gaming delights, sampling whatever took my fancy. This weekend is going to be the same as the last two: I'll be playing Destiny – more goddamned Destiny.

While I've still not had the opportunity to even put half as much time into Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain as I want, the fact that I'm currently in the process of working on the review for NHL 16 means I might have to continue waiting. And this is in addition to the fact that I haven't even touched my copy of Tearaway: Unfolded, another game the likes of which I desperately hope I can make time for!

The recent Tokyo Game Show name change of Project Morpheus to PlayStation VR led me to thinking if the confines of a ring or a fighting arena in a boxing game would be a good fit for a virtual reality game. To make sense of this I thought I'll read about Teleroboxer on the Virtual Boy, and dust off two PlayStation Move wands for a rumble in ColdWood Interactive's The Fight: Lights Out.

With GameStop having a decent trade-in offer for once with Destiny: The Taken King - Legendary Edition, I couldn't resist getting it for only $40 by giving up my vanilla Destiny copy. While levelling up seems too fast now and the Year One weapons being trash is discouraging, I'm really enjoying the majority of the changes that have come with The Taken King. Hey, the first half of its story has more of a narrative than the entirety of the original campaign. It's a start, Bungie!

I'll be mostly found wandering the wastelands as Max Rockatansky this weekend, yelling, "The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel – it'd take you ten minutes to hack through it!" Plus, I will be trying out QuipLash with an excitable group of young people, too.

This week I'll be playing Mad Max, finishing it off and fully upgrading the Magnum Opus so I can finally move on to another game. After that I'll be starting Yu-Gi-Oh: Legacy of the Duelist, if I find some time to d-d-d-d-duel.

This weekend is going to be a sleepless one with the release of the new Raid in Destiny; I'll be rounding up my fireteam to attempt this arduous feat. Rise Guardians!
Is it Destiny: The Taken King all of the time for you this weekend, then – or are your interests elsewhere? Upload your gaming itinerary in the comments section below.

Oh I don't know what I'm playing...
...what's that music? ...7:40pm?
I finally became the Shogun in nobunaga ambition yesterday night. Took a while and a massive well executed blitzkrieg plan but i did it. It is really a deep strategy game, one of the deepest i ve ever played (and i played a lot of them). So now it s a choice between samurai warrior 4, back to The Witcher or MGS V. But Bloodborne is calling me back from the deepest dungeon of Yarnham...
Plugging away at MGSV for what will likely be another 3 weeks at least, that and Mario maker. Really want to pick up Tearaway again (started it last week), but Fultoning has become my vice!
Haven't played MGSV recently and not very far into it. I really really like the game, but I was just apparently in the mood to play other things.
So kingdom hearts 2 HD (on proud), Mario maker, and rock band 3. I just got accepted into the Rock Band Road Crew which gets me a free instrument bundle before the game comes out (probably like a week early), so I'll be busy getting ready for that.
Still playing dragon age inquisition on nightmare mode, I don't think ill ever get there 40 hours in and only at the mask ball.
Any one have any ideas how many more hours I've got til final boss if I aim for him asap without side questing unless absolutely. Necessary? 😊
Splatoon, Infinity 3.0 and maybe Mario Maker.
PS4- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Xbox One- Forza Motorsport 6
Destiny all the way! Got one of the 20th anniversary controllers as the thumb grips on my old one have had it.
Final Fantasy X HD and Star Ocean The Last Hope -International-
Struggling to pull myself away from rugby so anything short. So maybe drive club, cod or a vita game
The Witcher & PvZ
Digimon all stars rumble and Fairy fencer... Don't judge me.
@marston1983 Focusing on just pushing through the story you might have 15 more hours? Not quite sure, been a good few months since I finished it. Enjoying it?
@Hego thanks hego, I'm enjoying it but at the same time because I have limited time to play the ps4 I want to complete it and platinum it and tick al the boxes so I can move onto the next game, trouble is I have that many great games waiting to be played, the good thing is because I'm so far behind by the time I catch up games like witcher 3 and mgs are reduced in price 😊
Uncharted 1 on Crushing, and that's mainly it. Yeah, I hate myself sometimes.
Diablo 3 and maybe some Destiny.
@Johnnycide How's the 20th Anniversary controller treating you? It looks so great I'm tempted - but it's really expensive!
Didn't think I'd be ever saying this again but it's Destiny for me this weekend and I'm absolutely loving it. May finish Until Dawn as well if I get the chance.
Destiny Taken King all the way!
@get2sammyb - got one too, it was £50, that's not much more expensive than a normal one is it? Looks quite smart i think.
@get2sammyb it's really nice! The sticks feel a little better on it and the buttons and d pad seem to be made of a different plastic to other models- though don't take my word as gospel on that. It looks awesome of course.
The main thing I like is the O.G. Playstation logo on the button. So classy.
I got it from smyths toy store in Speke, regular pads were 45 but this was only a fiver more.
I recently completed Lollipop Chainsaw (PS3), and I just started playing Darksiders 1 (PS3).
Fire Emblem (Wii U VC) - This is what I've mostly played recently. Almost done with Eliwood's story.
Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows (3DS) - Haven't started this yet. If I get around to anything other than Fire Emblem this weekend, it'll be this.
Sonic The Hedgehog (PS3): finished off Sonic and Shadows stories, now starting Silvers.
The Last of Us Remastered (PS4): Will be starting the game.
Might actually try and finish Left Behind from The Last of Us - though if I'm not in the mindset for that - maybe Catherine, Yoshi, 4 Heroes of Light/Persona Q on DS or Tokyo twilight Ghost Hunters on vita.
But who am I kidding, I probably wouldn't choose any and go back to PS2!
MGSV for me. I've played about 20 hours and am only 15% in, yikes!
Destiny just feels like an entirely new experience; not just the game feels better with the expansion, morale of the players is better than ever. For day 1 players it's good they finally get some recognition and the new people playing give a fresh feel to Destiny as an experience.
Still I didn't spend most of my hours so far on Destiny, like I originally planned. Just like last year the release of PES snuck up on me and this year I even got a review copy and I just can't let the game go. I clocked about 30 hours already, which means I'm not doing much else besides managing my ML squad. This year's PES is a return to form and all my mates who are big fans themselves agree that it feels just like the old days; FIFA might have the licenses, PES has got the feel!
FIFA lovers find it hard to adjust at first, but once they notice how playing PES is actually fun instead of a tedious chore just to buy some nice players for your FUT, they can't stop playing either! Next week I'm hosting the first PES2016 tournament and judging from fhe games I already played against my opponents of next week, I'll have a pretty good chance of winning the trophy (we had one made last year )
@Boerewors @crazykcarter I agree PES is truly back this year. It feels like its PS2 heyday. A couple of minor issues aside, its the best football game ever. As for licenses visit pesworld, the guys there have done a fantastic job of creating real kits and emblems. Only premier league file is up at the moment, but there's more to come.
Well I am sick this weekend on top of that I have to work so not much for me I am afraid.
Probably just
PS4
Diablo III
Borderlands The Handsome Collection.
I planned on playing Destiny, MGS5 and Tearaway. Alas, I just spent 13 hours straight on Destiny instead, then played some more today. Might mix it up this evening.
