With so much focus being placed firmly upon the blockbuster holiday releases of 2015, it's easy to forget about some of the less popular titles that are releasing in the next few months. Tales of Zestiria is perhaps one such game, but judging from its first ever PlayStation 4 gameplay trailer, it certainly shouldn't be tossed to one side.
And yes, you read that right: we've finally got footage of the game running on Sony's new-gen console. Needless to say, the visuals look extra crisp, and along with the action role-playing title's attractive art style, it's particularly easy on the eyes. Meanwhile, the gameplay itself focuses on character fusion during battle, as protagonist Sorey combines with his allies to take advantage of various powerful forms. That's one way of bringing down giant lizards, we suppose.

This game just went from a might buy to a must buy for me! So stoked on that battle system and the open world exploration, and the art style!
This was always going to be a day one purchase for me. It looks like the areas are larger, more expansive, and more convincingly connected than in Xillia. That game felt like the whole world was just a series of roofless rooms connected nonsensically. You'd leave a desert "room" and suddenly be in a town that wasn't visible from where you were a second ago. At least half the towns were the same port town just copy-pasted a bunch of times.
This looks awsome can't wait tillen i get my CE.
That was a great trailer, I may be picking this up despite only playing very few games in the Tales series.
yesss yeeesss YEEEEEESSSSS!!!
Cant wait any longer omg still one more month - DAY ONE and Im taking off from work for this!!! I love the Tales Series so much and Im SO happy they bring it to PS4 - since my PS3 is broken I was afraid I could not play this
oh and "btw": the character design looks awesome this time - no "kind-of-chibi" character or so, they all look mature and cool, and the overall style is more medieval which I personally love most in (J)RPGs (more so than modern/future settings)
Already have preordered, but definitely more excited for it now!
"I'll watch the trailer just for fun...what? Pre-ordered"
