Kat's got the cream – and she's greedily lapping it up on the PlayStation 4. One of the big announcements during Sony's pre-TGS press conference was the long awaited Gravity Rush 2 – known as Gravity Daze 2 in Japan – which is looking absolutely stunning on the platform holder's new-gen console. The manufacturer revealed a pretty meaty trailer for the title, which showed off the series' cel-shaded world and some trademark acrobatics.
The game's due out in 2016, and will have some form of co-op component if the video's any indication. The platform holder didn't say a whole lot about the sequel, but we'd expect more details to emerge over the course of the day. In the meantime, just bask in the glory of this absolutely gorgeous trailer. The first game's coming to the PS4 as well, and we'll have more information on that imminently.

Holy sheet!!!
The way people felt about Final Fantasy VII Remake is exactly how I felt when I saw this pop up on the screen. I'm not confident it will find the audience it deserves because it's not Generic Shooter: Dudebro Editon 1,000,001 but a sequel is happening and I'm thrilled about that. I'll pre-order both Gravity Rush 1 for PS4 and 2 as soon as the local Gamestop is taking them.
Get rid of all touch based gameplay, that one sequence haunts me.
I should really finish the first.
On PS4 probably, because they'll redo that section. But yay!
sweet
Looks really nice loved the first game to bits, hopefully it sells well (I don't think it will though).
@Jazzer94 A bit of marketing from Sony could do it wonders. It seems like a word of mouth kind of game though.
@stevie85
Yeah, a marketing push could probably bring some moderate success, if the timing of the release is right and the advertising is done well. Hopefully Sony doesn't give it the Tearaway treatment where it releases at the busiest time of year with no advertising what so ever.
@Gamer83 If this came out in maybe September of next year I could see it doing decent as the summer Is over and the gaming season is beginning. It will also miss the annual big hitters. FIFA, COD Etc.
Looks fantastic, will be great to see the city fully realised thanks to that extra next-gen horsepower!
Also gives me an excuse to replay the first game again. Will definitely be taking multiple saves this time though, as last time I got right near the end and the trophy for doing all challenges glitched on me, even though I had followed all the recommended steps to avoid that (eg doing the Boutoume challenges long before the end as that is known to glitch it). I had no save to jump back to and couldn't be bothered starting the whole thing over again at the time!
@stevie85 Marketing could definitely help I just think it is a hard sell to the majority of gamers on PS4.
@Jazzer94 True. It's a unique type of game.
@stevie85
Yeah, late August, early September might be the best time. This won't be the kind of game that lights up the charts, I just hope it finds some kind of decent success because it is quite unique in an industry that is becoming very samey. As much as it seems like I bash them, I actually really enjoy my generic shooters, but stuff like Gravity Rush, Tearaway, Until Dawn, etc is needed as well.
I CAN'T HANDLE THE RUSH OF THIS GRAVITY
(I am pleased.)
So pleased for this and a PS4 version of the original!
So excited for this, Gravity Rush was one of the last good VITA games. Shows how little Sony care about the vita now
Kat is the best
My favourite game in PS Vita, absolutely loved it... well, after P4G but not far off (so different games, so shouldn't really compare). Can't wait for this, it will be a day 1 buy.
@get2sammyb I'll echo your first comment into eternity, looks superb and the concept surely holds up, bless Japan Studio, always imo
OMFG!!
Heck ya! That's what I'm talkin bout
Give it fast PLS.
I still need to play the first game, but this news is still very exciting.
