TGS 2015: Persona 5's PS4, PS3 Gameplay Trailer Is Downright Incredible

words cant describe how hyped I am for it ... simply put: STUNNING
Its gonna be tough to beat Persona4Goldens epicness - but I thought the same thing after Persona3Fes and then came Persona 4 so...
anyway: theres no doubt this game will be an absolute blast

You know what? I don't think I'm gonna watch this trailer. I wanna be surprised when I get the game. I don't want to know too much going into it

With that I'm done backing up the PS4, Persona 5 was the last thing I wanted to get cancelled and now I know the UK won't be getting it till at least 2017 so bloody joy.

Glad I own them all cause this is getting infuriating now.

Is this a series where I need to have played the earlier installments to understand the story of this new entry, or are they all somewhat separate entities?

@SonyInfinity All separate. Returning themes, mechanics, and references to previous games, but nothing else.

Hey push square team!! off topic: I know you guys love Driveclub, so i just wanted to let you know that theres a sale going on for Driveclub on the NA psn store. It's only $20 for the full game + season pass. Surprisingly, not even the playstaion blog mentioned it or any other website for that matter. This game deserves to be played by every ps4 owner who loves racing games.

Looks downright fantastic ! great ! Hopefully thia is the game that breaks my problem with the persona games.

For some reason ive never ever manage to get into the persona series like i do with the SMT series, the whole dating stuff and super fluffy stuff just isnt my style :/ the more dark, gritty and philosophical ambient of SMT and party customization, etc... its more challenging also.

Ill be getting it anyway because the lack of propper jrpg games in the ps4 its worrisome and we kinda need to show support

Shadow design is out of this world! Graphics are amazing. Maybe it's just me but i like this sort of games more because the art style isn't so gray. I rather have this than any GTA game for example

I'm bummed that it's so far away now... But oh well, still pumped!

We had it in EU a few weeks ago so maybe PushSquare just updated that article, not sure? Some sites did post it, Dualshockers for example. Good game at a great price!

It's really hard no be hyped for this trailer, and I'm glad with the delay. More time to prepare to play this masterpiece!!!

Can't wait to play this and SMTxFE, the wait is going to be painful.

So far this game seems to lack a Chie or Naoto type of girl. That makes me sad.

The trailer was fantastic! The gameplay doesn't seem be only just dungeon crawling with the rooftop scene shown. Plus, the stakes seem to higher this time around in terms of the story.

@WanderingBullet yeah it's fantastic to see them finally solving the level design problem with dungeons. I loved P4G, but the dungeon design was appalling, even for a ps2 game!

What has me worried is that they have only shown 4 playable characters... I hope there's more than just 4 possible party members but its strange they don't show anyone else... they may be worried about spoiling who joins the party later on though

@DualWielding The original PS2 trailer for Persona 4, to be fair they didn't show any playable characters other than Chie, Yosuke, and Yukiko (and obviously MC).

Maybe the 6 was a typo....

At least fallout 4 and persona will no longer be fighting over my limited time. That's a bonus I suppose.

I forgive the delay, because my hype is all too real.

I guess I just don't get Japanese games. I've tried to play some that people raved about, but I can't seem to get into them.

@tenderbeefcake all Atlus RPGs are worth a look. They're super hardcore and full of fun themes and characters.

That's what I'm sayin. Persona 5 and SMT x Fire Emblem will rule the 2016 roost.

But there's a ton of other good JRPG's coming our way- Xenoblade X, Star Ocean 5, Legend of Legacy, Final Fantasy XV, World of Final Fantasy, Bravely Second, Kingdom Hearts 3, heck even Final Fantasy Explorers and World of Final Finatasy (a lot of FF I know).

@SteveButler2210 Yeah, there seems to be a lot of variety in the level designs this time around. Thought that one scene where they jumped into the paintings hanging on the wall was pretty cool. And there's that funny and weird scene where it could be that the heroes had been turned into mice. lol

Also, I wonder if that guy with the Kabuki Persona is the villain.

Lastly, looks like the main protagonist could be practicing Wing Chun.

@B3ND3R I will give it a try. It would be great to have another genre of games to play. Correction on my last comment. I do like the fire emblem games on 3ds. Love the strategic combat.

Wow, so why did they keep telling us that it was 'definitely coming 2015' when they knew that it wasn't? That really gets on my nerves. I'm fine with games getting delayed if it means a better game, but they shouldn't have continued to sell us on a 2015 release date.

I have no desire to watch this trailer though. I'm simply in a bad mood over the delay.
