Yakuza 6 is being built exclusively for the PlayStation 4, and boy does it show in this first ever video. SEGA debuted the footage during a NicoNico livestream yesterday, and it shows Japanese actor Beat Takeshi's character in all of his new-gen glory. The facial modelling has always been good in the Yakuza games, but this is clearly a step forward from the PlayStation 3.
The title's due out in Japan next year, with the cross-gen remake Yakuza Kiwami set to precede it in January. As with anything Yakuza, we're excited – but we always try to temper our hype, because there's no guarantee that this will release overseas. Are you impressed by what you're seeing here? Anything with Beat Takeshi in it has my interest.
@0M3GA Had no idea he was in it until this article...argh I really hope this gets translated sooner rather than later!
OMG, it's Beat Takeshi! I think it would be cool if he plays the villain in Yakuza 6.
Wait...what? Were not getting this in the states? Well that sucks
That's it, do I gotta beat Takeshi in order for both Yakuza Zero and Yakuza 6 to get localized?
I can only hope Sega actually bother bringing this over, doubting we will see 0 now which is a shame as I really enjoy the import but speak no Japanese
