Far Cry Primal will whisk you away to the Ice Age, reports are starting to claim. The pre-historic spin-off – which is currently being teased via a livestream – has been revealed by Kotaku, with an IGN Turkey leak corroborating the report. It's still unclear whether this will be a full game or a Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon-esque side-story, but you should expect woolly mammoths, bows, and big bloody clubs.
There's no word on when Ubisoft will allow some official details to melt, but we'd expect an announcement within the next 24 hours or so. It's got some 10,000 people watching its uneventful unveiling broadcast right now, so we expect it'll want to milk that for a few hours yet. Are you feeling all Katy Perry over this reveal? Let us hear you roar (louder, louder than a lion) in the comments section below.

The dialogue should be good.
I actually just recently started Far Cry 4 — great game! Definitely looking forward to this.
After Far Cry 4 probably I'll pass this game...
Meh, there goes any excitement I had for this game.
At least there's still Horizon: Zero Dawn to look forward to playing.
There's so few video games set in a pre-historic period, even fewer set near the beginnings of human history. It's a tremendously underused setting, so count me very interested in this! Also, the art style from that image brings From Dust to mind, which I thought was extremely underrated, so that's an added bonus.
@Unashamed_116 thought that too, from dust was such a awesome game, seems they def got some inspiration from it. And also very intrigued about the prehistoric era. Count me in for this
I think this will be awesome. Love farcry and the bow is the most fun way to play. This just makes sense. They do need to improve the melee system for this though.
Loved far cry 3, something about part 4 just didn't do it for me though. If this is a full fledged release I'll give it a try, if it is just DLC for part 4, I'll pass.
As if any of this even matters, fallout ftw!
Considering how glitchy Ubisoft games can be, I thought it would literally freeze the console.
This reminds me I need to pick up Far Cry 4
I wonder what they'll use for radio towers in prehistoric times...
