It looks as though Sony is launching its own competitive gaming platform called PlayStation Plus League.
As first reported by IGN, a French-language site has gone live ahead of an apparent Paris Games Week announcement. The site reveals that popular games like Battlefield: Hardline, Ultra Street Fighter IV, FIFA 16, Rocket League, and more will be included in the eSports platform.
Perhaps the most important piece of news is that you can actually earn some money through a stipend that will be paid out to top players. According to the website, tournaments will be happening throughout this week and next, though it's unclear whether this will be a global initiative.
Keep it locked to Push Square for all of the news coming out of Paris Games Week and be sure to check out our predictions.

Seems pretty smart to me with the emergence of ESports and their popularity worldwide.
I hate the term Esports, to me a sport is something physical like baseball or football or Boxing. The should call it Ecompetive gaming or something like that.
Is this only for France?
@iDangerMouse_ You play rocket league and I will be the motivational talker. Split the winnings 50/50 wadaya say?
