Just what this slow news day needed: a potential PlayStation Plus leak. According to an image posted to Twitter by Dutch retailer bol.com – which has since been deleted – it would appear as though The Walking Dead: Season 2 and Magicka 2 are both part of November's still unannounced lineup.
Fortunately, the removed picture was nabbed by a Reddit user, and we've slapped it into this article for your perusal. In our opinion it looks pretty legitimate, and the fact that it was posted on the official Twitter account of a retailer and then removed just raises even more suspicion.
What do you reckon? Would you be happy with these two, or would you be baying for Sony's blood? Have a good old rant in the comments section below.
Update: This lineup has now been confirmed. For regular updates on PlayStation Plus, follow us on Twitter.

Looks legit to me, but why The Walking Dead: Season 2? Surely it makes sense to give away Season 1 (or both)?
I wouldn't mind giving Magicka a go, though, so would be happy with this.
I hope this isn't true!
............sorely because I already own both. XD
They should really start giving bigger titles, like xbox is doing, but on the other hand those two are some nice indies. I also hope at least TWD is not true and they will give GoT which I don't have!
@get2sammyb bol.com is pretty legit, they never post something without it being confirmed, I spoke with them at the phone last week because I had a complaint and they said so themselves.
Walking dead is a good shout. Could have seem Magika coming a mile off though. It flopped, nobody wanted it, it looks like it cost about 8 quid to make.... yep. That's a plus game.
@Melucine You wanna see Xbox's lineup for this month, not great.
@Melucine Yeah, I don't think Xbox's lineup for November is any better...
Fake edit: Beaten.
@adf86 @get2sammyb
Better or not is only a matter of opinion, but the thruth is that they have gotten more big games than ps4, like rayman and black flag.
Also kinda irrelevant but now with their backwards compability, they eill get 4 games each month.
@Melucine Fair point, there's always room for improvement.
Magika looks good to me, nice to play something different.
Well TWD will be easy trophies if nothing else.
@get2sammyb
Check this, at the Halloween sale ( PC Store at least ) TWD season 2 is back to its normal price, while season 1 still on sale!
https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-gr/halloween-ps4/cid=STORE-MSF75508-102015PS4?smcid=ps:%CF%80%CE%B5%CF%81%CE%B9%CF%83%CF%83%CE%BF%CF%84%CE%B5%CF%81%CE%B1:STORE-MSF75508-DEALOFTHEWEEK:pdc-home:null
I bought magika 2 in a recent sale and already have TWD, so not great news for me. If there's a new indy release in there too, that will be ok.
Also Asian PS+ are getting Thief so we might in EU/US also...
Damn damn damn!!!!!! I have walking dead season 1+2 on iOS. I don't want magika crap. I would rather thief which Asia is getting
@Johnnycide lol. That's what we get leftover games instead of fairly new AAA it very good indie games.
Never really watched The Walking Dead, just found it a little bit boring even though it is about zombies! And have no idea what Magika is? Is TWD accessible if you haven't played the first season and not watched any of them?
Walking dead season 2 is on sale right now on PSN. Would be very bad form to put it on PS+ less than a week later.
@LieutenantFatman they removed it from the sale.
@Patinator games have their own story and even though I got bored from the show too, I liked those.
@Patinator the game has nothing to do with the series, it's set within the original comic univesre. and while it is playable without playing s1 I wouldn't recommend it because there is to much stuff thatt you wouldn't understand (like when you reunite with someone I'm not going to say or the scene when you fall asleep) well maybe it isn't playable without playing s1, you can import your choices from the first game.
Having already played both TWD Season 1 & 2, I would've preferred season 1, just for the easy Platinum.
Personally I would be a bit disappointed if this is true - another month where nothing appeals. I can't say that XB1's offerings appeal either but at least the XB360's aren't too bad and with the Backwards Compatibility making them playable on XB1, I may get Dirt 3 and Dungeon Siege 3.
I have CoD:BO3 and SW:BF to play in November so I think I will be playing these anyway...
Pretty confident we won't see AAA titles on plus until January at the earliest. Sony will surely sell alot of ps4's this holiday, and with that alot of "older" AAA titles that are priced a little lower will probably see a bump in sales as well. Titles like Killzone, Knack, and Infamous will probably all see a minor resurgence. They will want to capitalize on that before giving them away for free I imagine. Just seems to make sense, business wise.
@Melucine there are not enough big games on the PS4 to just start handing them out for free. There at not even enough games to give me good recommendations. The store told me to buy an MLB game because I played bloodborne. Xbox one also hasn't given out that many big games.
I'm not a fan of either game, so I'll probably be disappointed.
Magicka looks interesting
@valedrel
I understand that they are not many yet, but I think once in a while, lthey can give some, Xbox got at least RAyman legends, Tomb Raider and Black Flag, while Sony gave nothing like those, unless you count First Light, which is a stand alone DLC.
Also Japanese PS plus gave Killzone and if I remember correct Knack was a gift with each PlayStation at launch, sure it is not PS plus game, but if they could afford it then, I think they can do it now.
@Melucine we got ground zeroes, tomb raider I swear was free before for the PS3 as well as thief. We also got injustice, oddworld remake is awesome. We also got the temple of Osiris Lara croft game which I considered big if we can call the halo game Xbox got to be a big game.
@VAledrel
I should have mentioned that I am talking about this year.
All the games you mentioned are great and I did enjoy them, except MGZ ( not bad, just not for me. )
TR and Thief were indeed free for ps3 as you said, but we are talking about ps4, after all I dont think any reasonable person will deny that PS3 had/has great ps plus games!
As for the rest you mention even though I liked them, there are not what I will call big. I am not talking AAA games or not, I am talking purely based on duration, big games to keep you for more than some hours.
I already beat walking dead, magicka I'd love to try tho
@Valedrel Ground Zeroes has also been free on XB1 too. AC4, TR: definitive edition and Rayman Legends have also been free.
Thief I think has been free on last gen consoles (inc XB360) which does annoy me. Its the fact that this is as old on both last and current gen and whilst I know the back catalogue isn't as extensive, I think that if a game is offered on PS3/XB360, I think if it is available it should be offered on PS4/XB1 too - its not as if the last gen offering is older. I do think that compared to last gen, the free offerings are 'poor' and certainly don't offer us gamers the same 'value' and 'quality' as the older generation offerings.
Admittedly from my perspective, I don't buy PS+/Gold purely for the free games but I still can't help feeling a little disappointed to see that the last gen offerings are often better and in terms of financially often higher value too. I am not saying that as we spent a lot on our new consoles, we should get a higher value of game than those on last gen but I wouldn't mind seeing the 'value' evened out between the 2 generations. Often the last gen has a 'game' that is/was priced at more than the cost of all current gen games. Its not just about the cost either but the 'potential' game time is a lot more too. Most new gen game offerings can be finished in less than a day (assuming you actually want to finish them) where as the offerings on last gen can last the whole month or more. If you were basing your decision purely on the free games (which would be a poor reason), you wouldn't upgrade to this gen!
I know this has been somewhat 'negative' towards the free games but like I said, I certainly didn't buy PS+ for the free games anyway. In the time I have had it, I don't think I have downloaded and played games that equate to the cost of my subscription or saved money from buying digital to make it financially worthwhile. Others may well have had their money back and then some - after all it only takes 3-4 games over the year to break even. I have had many many hours of online gaming though and I will certainly renew when my PS+ runs out.
Black Flag, Killzone, Tomb Raider, Sniper Elite, Knack, CoD Ghosts, Last of Us, Diablo, UFC, Infamous, Need for Speed.
Thats 11 games that are over a year old.
The catalogue is more than big enough, to throw any of those in every couple of months.
Im not saying they should but the, "it hasnt got enough games yet" argument is wafer thin at best now.
Played the first episode and half the second episode of season 1 of TWD, and much like the TV show it was a yawnfest.
Magicka was not my thang, so Ill skip number 2 thanks.
Still, this may not be true, and regardless the Telltale games are pretty popular so some folk should like this month.
@get2sammyb There is room for improvement, and the funny thing is, as bad as the UI for the PS4 can be at times when looking for something and not being able to find it (communities) the Xbox One UI is worse. At least they are changing it. Will it be any better? Lets hope so. But seriously Every system has there ups and downs.
Its funny you guys are saying that the Xbox has good games, while your sister site purexbox.com are saying that their games with gold games suck and the PS+ Games are better xD
If this is true, I won't be resubscribing next month either.
Haven't got time for my own games never mind free ones ,I'd like maybe something like 3 free themes or a bit of DLC of our own choice something like that or maybe 5 quid to spend in the PSN store.
With me trying having almost finished The Witcher and then Fallout coming, not to mention the Rocket League update, I doubt I'll have the time for any of these. May add the walking dead to my library though for next year
Pretty disappointing again then. TWD is a great game (even if the 1st season was better than the 2nd), it's just that it already came out on PS3 a year ago. I have the retail version of it on PS4 anyway so maybe it just doesn't appeal to me but it seems another weak choice for a PS+ game.
@Melucine
I have an XBL Gold account. The Games with Gold lineup for the One anyway, hasn't been great either. Deals with Gold has had some nice sales but so has PSN. There really isn't a big advantage to one company in this area right now.
I'd have to buy season 1 though....
@Neolit Actually Gold and PS+ on this gen are far more similar. Both are needed to play online and both give games that are only playable whilst you continue to subscribe.
It seems that Sony borrowed from MS in terms of paying to play online and MS have borrowed from Sony by offering games that are accessible as long as your subscription is active.
The difference you point out still remains true for last gen consoles (PS3/XB360) of course.
Its another reason why I am 'disappointed; by this gens offerings. The fact that on XB1, we no longer get to keep or play the games if we stop our subscription and the fact that Sony gets more revenue because people now have to pay to play online and therefore increase PS+ sales, I had thought that may have at least as good, if not better games than were on offer on last gen.
All ready played TWD on both PS3 and PS4. That said I wouldn't mind giving Magika a shot.
Nice, I played TWD S1 on PS3 because I got it while on offer. I enjoyed it, hope S2 will be offered this month.
Well I played both Walking Dead Seasons on pc, but if I'm going to play it on my PS4 I need both seasons first!
Magicka seems a really cool game so...that's cool!
But still, almost Friday and no official announcement...please Sony! I hope PS3 has a really cool game...I don't want my PS3 to die already
@Neolit in the same way that Sony went the MS way in charging for online gaming - although PS+ isn't required for as many things (apps etc) as Gold is.
Point is though that the similarities between Gold and PS+ is far greater this generation - not so much apples and oranges now - more satsumas and clementines!
I certainly wouldn't buy PS+ (or Gold) if I didn't need it for online gaming. Its part of the reason I am relatively new to it as I didn't need it for PS3. I had hoped that as we now pay for PSN, the quality, reliability and performance would improve to be comparable with XBL - like I hoped the games on gold improved to be more like the quality offered on PS+ (before this gen).
But...But I need season 1 first X_X
-yawns-
Haven't got season 1 and I haven't played magicka 1 so it's kind of useless to me
@Neolit This is no longer true. Xbox now has a similar model as Playstation. No longer has a pay-wall on Netflix, Hulu etc, but does in fact require users to maintain their gold membership status for their newer titles. Phil Spencer confirmed this earlier this year.
@Neolit I heard xbox stopped that. I was under the impression that it's now the same as plus.
the walking dead season2 !!!!!!! YES !!! YES!!! YESS!!! sorry but that makes me SO FREEKIN HAPPY!!! i LOVED playing through part 1 on my vita (and ONLY the vita) and could not wait for season 2 but kept forgetting about it due to, you know, ps4 and junk. YES!! YES!! YESSS!!! what the heck is magica???
I'm pleased! I was hoping that we gonna get Tales from Borderland full 5 episodes, but I'm ok with The Walking Dead 2 and Magica!
Magicka 1 has over 3.4 million owners on Steam alone and had 40,000 people playing it on Steam in the last fortnight - pretty cool for a game from 4 years ago.
However, Magicka 2 is made by a different dev and only sold about 140,000 on Steam. Only 11,000 players on Steam in the last two weeks even though it only came out about 5 months ago.
TWD is pretty cool although it's one of those games that 95% of people that wanted to play it have done so already. Fortunately I'm in the 5%.
@BAMozzy I'm the opposite, really. My entire online play experience with my PS4 is about half an hour of MGO. I don't think I ever played online with my PS3, not even once. I just like having this growing collection of games, especially ones that I'd probably never buy normally. It's so cheap, as well. Just £40 a year. I went out last night to see Spectre and then for a couple of pints afterwards and it cost me £30.
@Ewflex we've already had thief, you missed it
@Dodoo - FYI
People shouldn't be so quick to dismiss Magicka, and if you liked the first you'll definitely like the second. My girlfriend played it to death
The walking dead though...good for those who missed it the first 1000 times it was on sale, I suppose -.-
@Matroska Historically, the ONLY reason people bought PS+ was for the free games and discounts. Also historically, the ONLY reason people bought Gold was for online services (gaming, apps etc). I know that some people may still buy PS+ for those reasons alone but for a lot of PS4 owners, they buy PS+ to have the same functionality of their console - i.e online play as last gen.
Personally I don't buy digital games and never have so the financial savings in the store are not important to me. The majority of games I really want, I have bought anyway before they have ever been offered as 'free'. I also have a backlog of unfinished games too so I am not bothered by offerings just because they are 'free'. Whilst it is nice to get 'something' occasionally I may download/play, its definitely not a reason for me to buy PS+ (or Gold)
In terms of costs/value, I still get a lot of value from both Gold and PS+ over the course of a year - even IF I never download a single game or take advantage of either ones discounted pricing for Gold/PS+ members. Without these, a lot of games lose a lot of their function. You can't play any part of Destiny without it, Games like CoD and SW:BF lose the majority of their content etc restricting me to very limited options. Admittedly from a financial perspective, I would have preferred Sony to stick with the same format for PS4 with regards to PS+ but its just the price of 1 game over the course of a whole year (which can be reduced if you shop around) and maybe, just maybe a game that I want to play but didn't get round to buying becomes available. When I say I am 'disappointed' with the offerings, its a very mild 'disappointment' - its not like I am going to cancel my PS+ subscription or not re-new it. Its no more disappointing than a reveal of a game that you have no interest in anyway - for example in my case the new Fifa/PES when I haven't played a new football game since '09.
Great, the second part of a story of which I haven't played the first and Magika 2, the sequel we never knew we didn't want. That trailer though (cringe).
Magicka 2 will be nice, mostly for the co-op. Don't like any of the telltale games other than Wolf Among Us and Back to the Future, so I'll skip season2 of TWD.
*sarcasm on
I dont care for free games or online play - I just subscribe to plus because I think Sony deserves the extra money from me, its my duty as a playstation gamer! Why is there no option so they can debit as much as they want, anytime they want?
@ topic: Sony should AT LEAST give me the new NeedforSpeed and BlackOps3 FOR FREE in November - and, as an apology, Halo 5 and the SuperMarioMaker! If they already can own the whole market regarding sales, they should also have the right to bring those games to us ps-gamers - but just those who pay extra for plus of course!
*sarcasm off
@benrawr not for ps4
Hope it's not true, since I own both of the Walking Dead games, but I still have a big back catalogue to play, and I have Until Dawn and Bloodborne coming in a few days, so I'll have enough to play until then...plus, I'm planning on purchasing the retail version of Brothers and getting Tearaway Unfolded. Eh, there's too many games coming out now!!!!
@get2sammyb Did they give a US release date for New Hot Shots Golf yet???
