It's surely not the weekend again? The weeks seem to fly by of late – but perhaps that's because we're having so much fun. There have been tons of new releases recently, keeping our team appropriately busy. Here's everything that we're playing right now, but do chip in with your own selections in the comments section below.

Oh God, it's October already, which means a whole new ridiculous review season is upon us. Should I even bother trying to clear out games that I still haven't fully finished? Destiny says no.

This weekend I intend on finally wrapping up Venom Snake's human right-infringing Fulton extraction binge. If I can tear myself away from Side-Ops for just five minutes, I might actually achieve my dream.

This weekend, I'll be dusting off my Vita and busting a groove playing Persona 4: Dancing All Night. I'll also be returning to Destiny yet again, as I've finally got my Warlock above the 290 light level, and might just be ready for the King's Fall raid.

This weekend, I'll be playing Persona 4: Dancing All Night after my Disco Fever Edition got shipped early. I can't wait to get reacquainted with the familiar faces of my favourite game characters, though I am slightly concerned about playing a rhythm game given my total lack of coordination.

I don't need an excuse to shuffle through mounds of retro gaming magazines, but Push Square's recent PSone feature by Paul Davies – the former editor of CVG – sparked me to flick through a bunch of classic EMAP publications. This in turn led to me contentedly reading the Mega Drive Castle of Illusion review in Issue 5 of Mean Machines, kindling a rainbow bridge to appear in my mind, and a sudden urge to play its 2013 remake on my PlayStation 3.

I've made substantial progress on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker this week on my PS3 and got a good feeling I'll be able to clear the story this weekend. While its boss fights and level design leave a lot to be desired, it's still a great title – especially considering it was on the PSP. I think I'll also head on over to my Wii U and finally experience the glorious 8-bit graphics and music of Shovel Knight for myself. Dig onward!

Now that I've finally finished Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, I will get to dig into Tearaway, a game I've had since the day it came out and not touched. I'm also going to check out the Need for Speed beta, as it looks like it could be quite interesting.

This weekend I'll be playing The Last of Us Remastered, as I've got plenty of time to clear my backlog. I didn't cry during the start so I'm hopefully good to go, but if things get heavy, I'll always go back to Sound Shapes to calm myself down.

On the single player front I will be playing Mortal Kombat X, which is the first Mortal Kombat game I have been able to get into for a while, and in between that Mega Man 3 on the Mega Man Legacy Collection. Also, I have planned some Diablo III with some guys from work which hopefully I will get my Witch Doctor to Level 70.
And that's all she wrote – but the fun continues in the comments section. What are you playing this weekend? Let us know down below.

I'm in York this weekend and it's been brilliant! Once I get home I'll probably get some time on Destiny and maybe start Super Time Force Ultra if I get time.
Either way it'll be a great weekend.
@Johnnycide STFU is great, 1 more trophy 🏆 that I want on that game and then I may call it quits.
Difficult to get any time to game recently so I'm more than likely going to play mgs v and get quiet out for battle tonight and then a quick game of Fifa with the lads from the new forum thread Dangermouse and Millero on Sunday night.
Well, I think I have entered that period in gaming where even the great titles feel a little lack luster compared to what I am waiting to play right around the corner. November 10th, and fallout 4 cannot come quick enough, but will probably continue a play through of last of us and may try to FINALLY finish the Witcher 3. I know it is a great game, and I want to really love it, but something about it always pushes me away after a few hours. First world problems, lol.
I've just started The Witcher 3... Let's see how far I get, glad I have as a download as I may have to treat it as a gap filling game, too many coming up to count. I'm excited for Transformers, I blagged a cheap preorder and putting all my Bayonetta 2 loving faith in Platinum... It can't be bad, can it?!
My goal for the weekend is to try and see the true ending in MGS5: The Phantom Pain. Rock Band 4 is coming out Tuesday, so if I don't do it before that, I may not get around to it for awhile.
Been playing borderlands 2 on the vita, then some batman tonight I hope as long as I don't drink to much watching the rugby.
It'll be mostly Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition. I'm really enjoying it, and it should last me a good while with 5 playable characters.
Installing Mortal Kombat X patches, and playing Axiom Verge, Mega Man Legacy Collection, Dust: An Elysian Tail, and The Binding of Isaac.
3 hours into Persona 4, hoping it's as good as the reviews say. Some MGS5 and maybe a little bit of Destiny.
I'm playing Yoshi's Woolly World. I've only got a few levels left so should have that finished this weekend, then I think I'll start King's Quest which I've been looking forward to playing for weeks.
Well, my quest to platinum Uncharted 2 is nearing it's end. After finding 91 treasures by myself, I decided to look at a guide and reek of my shoddy observational skills as I find some in areas that I feel totally stupid for not checking. After that, I still have to kill 200 jerks with a gatling gum and get run over by crushing difficulty again.
If I'm not doing the above, I may just play a sports game to take the edge off.
Destiny, Need for Speed beta, The Order 1886, Saints Row 4, and maybe The Last of Us
@Volcanox Mortal Kombat X is such an awesome game. There is so much to do in it. Definitely in my top 5 games of 2015.
A month later and I'm still putting lots of time into one piece pirate warriors 3 , I'm determined to get that allusive platinum trophy , so much of a grind to get all non playable characters to max crew level though -.-
Made the mistake of downloading the Uncharted demo so been playing that and now I need to buy the collection. Other than that probably a bit of Destiny.
Got about another 50 assessments s to mark between now and Monday morning and I've got some diy chores to around the house so I'm not gonna be gaming much this weekend. I did manage to find 30 mins today to play some dragon age though. Still chipping away at that platinum 😒
Parents in law are here so I'm stuck in Strictly Come Dancing hell. When I'm not though - Destiny, Destiny, Destiny!!
Still hooked on to Mad Max!!!
PS4 - Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Xbox One - Forza Motorsport 6
Riddler trophies
Vita: Persona 4 Dancing All Night
3DS: Little Battlers Experience
Wii U: Super Mario Maker.....Freedom Planet
PS4: [nothing]
X1: [nothing]
Wow is Persona 4 Dancing All Night amazing! I've been working 12's, 7 days a week, but I only worked 8 today so I'm about to dig right in!
After finishing up the main game of Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition (a game so good I got the platinum twice!) I might get stuck into Nightmare in North Point. I've also been trying to conquer all five floors of the ziggurat, but I've only ever made it to four before I was unceremoniously mobbed by a pack of ravenous carrots. Fantastic game!
I'm playing the beta for Ghost in the Shell Online. Just played a match with a GM and it was hilarious fun.
Dusted off the ps3 for gt6, been recreating my favourite roads using Google earth! The tines we live in 😃
Destiny and more destiny, trying to reach a raidable level asap. I am totally back into the looting grind. But this time looks great...
Uploaded another Mario Maker level. Also tried the Toy Story playset in DI 1.0.
Playing Rock Band 4!
Also playing metal gear solid 5 when I have the chance.
Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn on PS4
PS3 - Borderlands, This game is just fantastic!
I tried the Uncharted demo and was genuinely surprised at how good it still looks. Bluepoint have done an excellent job. It's super smooth too.
I'm still playing Darksiders 1 (PS3), just finished Chapter 04 by defeating Silitha.
I've byen playing Mad Max on PS4 the entire weekend. Best boring game EVER! All the ubisoft-esque rinse/repeat combined with a gorgeous sandbox (pardon the pun) makes for the perfect game for me and my girlfriend to play together. I would never have enjoyed unity so much, were it not for the fact that it was such a great game for us to play together. Mad Max is the same. Perfect game for spending time together, just grinding the living sh#t outta the wasteland
I will most likely be playing Metal Gear Solid V and some Battlefield 4 now that my friend got a PS4.
If I get time for anything it will be a little Until Dawn. But with my wedding on Halloween it will probably be stuff to get ready for that. Did get a couple of ranked matches on Yugioh yesterday.
Uncharted Nathan drake collection for me half way through uncharted 1 and it looks much better but I can't wait to start uncharted 2
Finally platted Diablo 3, love that game. So moved onto Jamestown+ and finally started Resident Revelations 2 which are both good fun so far. Oh an Rocket League of course, platted it a while back but playing with friends never gets old.
Couldn't get into the Witcher 3, AGAIN. Still haven't figured what about this game turns me off, as I do love open world fantasy setting type games. I think it is the way it feels to control Geralt. Something about it is oft putting. At this point I have decided to not play anymore open world games until the pinnacle of open world madness releases on November 10th. Almost done with TLOU on grounded as well, such an amazing game. Still one of the best for this gen and the last, IMO.
Never played any of the Uncharteds, but considering how much praise they receive and how much I love the TLOU, I think I will have to give the collection a try, based solely off my love for Naughty Dog, lol.
Well I forgot to do it at the beginning of the week but this is what I did play.
I tried to get to 290 light in Destiny to do the raid but fell just short by 7 light. Although I did gain about 10 light this weekend getting me even closer to the raid even with the little time I had.
I played a little bit of the Uncharted collection. It looks brilliant and makes me, somebody who's never played or care about Uncharted before, get the collection and the new one coming in 2016.
I was able to play the need for speed beta for awhile until it kept saying I had to be online when I was online. It was fun but, to be honest, I don't care about a racing games' story. It makes no sense to me how a racing game has a story and forces me to do the intro to it which seemed to be like 30-45 minutes long.
I was able to squeeze in time for some Madden 16. Didn't really do much but make a new connected franchise.
Really nothing has been fun or interesting, besides Destiny, as of late because of the hot new games coming out soon including Fallout 4, Halo 5, Uncharted collection, Star Wars Battlefront, Just Cause 3, and whenever No Mans Sky comes out. I just can't have much fun knowing that those games are coming soon and are going to be awesome and brilliant. The hype has got me.
Complete "lost of us" main story on ps4. Now onto "left behind". Completed danganronpa 2 on ps vita. So just started " stein gate"
Been a bit short on time again this weekend, so no PS4 for me, but I did make some good progress on Castlevania: SOTN, finishing it this morning with a completion of 193.6% - rather happy with that for a first run through, although no idea how I could've pushed it up to 200%!
Just getting cracking on Arc the Lad now, and hoping for a big RPG sale or similar to kick off this week in time for my holiday next week!!
